RCT Discussion / Max number of guests

Let's start with telling I'm a total noob and that I'm new to this site.
So I dusted off my old RCT 2 game because of lots of free time and made my own scenario. It became a huge map (150mx150m) and I was having fun for 2 days straight constantly building rollercoasters and expending my park (with the help of 8-cars trainer, tho).
But then I met some restrictions of freedom in the game. For example the guests. At 8200 the guests stopped coming, whatever I did (even huge trams didn't help, got the message they arrived, but no guests coming). An other thing is when the guests numbers were at 8300 or something I couldn't hire any new handymen or any other employee (even not when I fired 1).
Does anybody know a hack to solve this problem or any trainer or give me the answer that it's impossible to do.
Thanks in advance! -

Yes eight thousand guestsbut I'm working more on making a huge park than making it a really nice looking park (unlike the most of you guys
)
But I think you don't completely understand my question as 8000 guests is kinda a cap, from then on the guests stop coming whatever you do (even huge trams with the trainer won't help) and I'm looking for a way to change that. -

Well, if there's a lot of roller coasters, even if it doesn't look really nice, that's good in its own way (I hope at least that will redeem my own park somewhat, as I am not as skilled as some others on this site).
As for the limit, I think it is a cap. Kind of like how you can't go above 600 feet on rides, even with a trainer; it's hard-coded into the game. Also it probably relates to the fact that RCT2 in an old (comparatively) game, which means stuff like RAM and whatnot was more limited in those days. Hence such restrictions as the 256 banner limit (a problem I myself have encountered only about 1/3 - 1/2 of the way through my own park), and the limits on scenery objects. I wager that if the game was released today, with the exact same sprites and graphics and whatnot, but with more RAM or whatever, then you could use every custom scenery object ever made, and have 50,000-60,000 guests. I really don't know much about that kind of thing though, but that's just a guess. If you do manage to get up to around 10,000 guests, I would be cautious because that may well cause the game to crash if my understanding of things are correct.
Well, I'm alright with all you said, but I think somewhere on this site is a hack for the amounts of feet limit (could be wrong on this one, tho). So I was curious if it would be possible to hack to guests cap aswel -

It's got to do with the sprite limit I think. What happens if you build a new ride with lots of trains and shit? Do new peeps enter when you demolish rides? -

I believe all the limits are independent. Object sprite, ride, peep/staff, banner, etc. -

Nothing helps, no matter what I do.
(so new rides and demolishing rides have no influence at all (speaking when there are 8200 guests in the park.) -

I think Ling has it right. I remember encountering this myself a while back. I had a shitload of guests in a park and suddenly realized that I couldn't add any staff. And, that no new guests were entering either. I demolished a couple of rides.....which made guests unhappy and they began to leave the park. As they did, I was able to hire staff again. So, there must be a defined limit to how many "people" can be on the map...which would include guests, staff, etc. I'd assume that, like the object limit, your allotment increases with the size of the map as well.
