Right now I kind of feel like Matt Damon in that movie where he wakes up in a fishing boat with no memory whatsoever. I got this RCT train rolling again, and I wanted to download some parks here to get in the mood. But as it turns out, the game won't let me open any downloaded parks. I can't remember it doing that (all the time) a few years ago. So, how do I get the game to open these parks?

And also, is there a complete workbench (another word I had to re-learn) around that has pretty much everything for experimenting?

P.S. I actually remember some of you guys.

What does it say when you try to open a park?

Yes, and another name before that. Katapultable is pretty much my standard internet alias now.

Any solutions, anyone?

Can be numerous of things;

-Your objdata data is too large (it starts bugging for me with around 4600 files in there)
-You miss a tracked ride .dat (they usually are included with the download tho as seperate .dat)
-Your RCT2 registry entry is corrupt, a reinstall will be needed (probably with a seperate program like registry cleaner)
-You opened an unexported file
-You have other corrupt .dats inside your objdata folder
-Sometimes checking off the option "read-only" on your objdata folder fixes it

Maybe more things I forgot

Probably will save you the most time and energy to just do a fresh install, since a lot of old parks and scenery you have are probably dated anyway.

That sounds like a lot of hocus pocus to me now (I traded in my RCT knowledge for music knowledge in the past two years). Whenever I downloaded a park with some new stuff in it, it would automatically add that new scenery. It might be good to note that there isn't any custom scenery in the game/on my computer at all right now.

No, doesn't work either.

Then it's your game or your computer, it seems. I'd try a clean reinstall. If that doesn't work, I'd try a downloaded version instead of a legal disc (or the other way around).

Thanks to everyone who tried to help. I found a way to open downloaded parks, although not all parks open. And thanks to Liampie for showing me the H2H6 workbench. Are there also any bigger workbenches?

Also, for the first time ever I actually finished some of the scenarios in the game.
