some of MCI's stuff, Atlantic adventures, and castello dal mare all fit the bill.
And those are things you guys approve of too? -

Castello and Antlantic both won bronze, so I would say yes. -

I have another question. I've heard good things about 8cars, but that it doesn't work right on windows 7. All I have is windows 7... can I make it work? -

most of 8cars's functions work on win7. -

Are there any important ones that don't work with it? -

Just switch your theme to Classic mode when you build and set your trainers' compatibility to work with WinXP or Win98. Then the trainers should work just fine. -

My 8 cars generally works fine on windows 7. I used to have a problem where the game would crash (its called an error trapper, you'll get one eventually ). I solved that by changing the game's resolution to smaller one, which meant I had black space on the side of my screen, but the problem was fixed. I now run a no-cd version from Amazon though, and I don't seem to have any of those problems. I'm pretty sure the newest version of 8cars has some problems though, someone else could probably clear you up on which one to use.
As for completely vanilla parks... good luck finding any . Most of the people who do work on this site start out with the game completely vanilla like you want, but eventually find that its not quite adequate at expressing the detail or intricacy of themes that they want. So you really won't find any 'good' (I'm using that term loosely) parks that are completely vanilla. I guess you could say that the most 'respected' parks are ones that show how much time and effort has been put into them, and that often comes with intricate detailing, developed themes or complex hacks that aren't really possible completely vanilla. That said, built whatever the hell you want, I'm sure you'll figure it all out for yourself.
You should definitely consider getting a workable copy of LL (you can probaby get it online for cheap or maybe a download off amazon). If you are really into not using custom scenery or whatever, you might enjoy LL a little bit more. Most parks nowadays use trainers and hacking, but there isn't as much of a difference from vanilla LL to super-duper modern LL as there is from vanila RCT2 to super-duper modern rct2 (in my opinion, no flaming here ). Plus, it would be nice to indoctrinate you into becoming a proper LL player right off the bat, we always could use a few more active LL builders nowadays (its not as popular as RCT2). sinister laugh.
My current game setup is RCT2 triple thrill pack, and RCT1 with Loopy landscapes. As long as there are no objects or rides that come with the triple thrill pack in my parks, other people can view them.
I hope there wasn't too much confusing jargon there. I'm always partial to new members who are polite and have good grammar -

I've already downloaded and begun to experiment with 8cars on my copy of RCT2 triple thrill. Yes, error trappers... not fun. Lost a lot of progress. But learned some things. (Cave Johnson comes to mind... "Tragic. But informative!")
I understand it all well enough. Right now I'm holding off on getting into any setup at the moment. Within the next 10 days I'll have my new computer up and running and that's when I'll get LL and try it out.
So, basically trainers and custom scenery allow people to communicate their ideas better, while perhaps being a bit more difficult to work with? I can see that, and I'll give it a shot just to see how it feels. Even though the vast majority of my experience with RCT has been with RCT1... the original, boring one... I'm actually favoring RCT2 right now. The interface in particular is something I enjoy, being a bit more streamlined than RCT1, and the scenario editor is what I wanted out of RCT all along.
All this is still a shock to me. Slowly earning $1,000,000 in vanilla RCT1 over 26 in-game years, an achievement I once thought might finally be respectable, is now easily accomplished with a few clicks on a little toolbar in the span of three or four seconds, let alone turning money off altogether. I spent so long creating what would amount to the absent sandbox mode, and everyone else had it at their fingertips. I don't know if I'll ever get over that feeling completely... so I've absorbed into RCT2.
That being said, of course it's nothing against you guys. I try to be as polite as I can, in the hopes that I might receive it in return. And grammar... is mein Führer. -

If you're interested in this kinda stuff, look up Canthose Valley in the Database, that was built by making the money as it was originally intended then spending it to build stuff. -

It was? It looks the same as the rest of the golds... zero-clearanced too. I'm not saying I don't believe you, but where's the evidence? -

Taken from 5Dave's page:This park really is special. First I started it as a just-for-fun project alongside with my original Pro Tour 3 entry (which later turned into Bayon Falls). It was completely built without any money trainers and such. I only used trainers for building purposes. So everything you see in this park was financed through money from the guests.

5Dave said commented that on CVTP -

the man said himself that he used trainers to build. i think Shaman means no trainers when he says 'no trainers'.
if you mean original scenarios, then no, those aren't really shown off here at NE. i'm sure there are many of us that still play scenarios here and there but they're not showcased.
and welcome to the forums. -

Thank you, I was looking for an answer like this. It's like how people showcase their creations in both creative mode and survival mode in Minecraft; I was expecting at least a few people to favor amazing designs that were spawned from scenarios and complete objectives, but if that's not the case, that's fine.
It'd still be pretty cool to see what Liampie or someone could do with Rainbow Valley no trainers. -

I never said he didn't use any trainers, I said he didn't use trainers to give himself money, and highlighted that bit of Shamans post too to point it out. -

I didn't ask the question correctly in the first place.
So no one has taken an RCT scenario and shown how they completed it beyond all expectations? How they could make it look awesome with just the scenery and rides and budget given, and perhaps the time as well? -
RMM Offline
they're not submitted for an accolade but you're more than welcome to show some screens in the ad district, or even submit them if you'd like. i'd love to see what you have done. -

I'm pretty sure 5dave does have a bunch of completed scenarios uploaded if you go to his members page. Haven't checked them out though.
Fatha also make a pretty sick scenario-like park once, but I'm pretty sure he probably used trainers for zero-clearencing and mild hacking like that.
