The resort map will be ultra realistic. The park map will be a lot more realistic than DRC, but likely not up to the resort map's level.
A screen could come soon. An hour ago I actually used objects on the Resort map for the first time. Other than that, it's all just mapping/planning.
Edit: I updated the first post... Kinda added 3 years to the expected release date and knocked 100x100 of the main map -

On CP6's stream last Saturday we were looking at the RCT2 BGSS and all agreeing that the layouts kicked some serious grade-A ass. Fatha always knew his way around a coaster, which really should be the measure of a parkmaker, but sadly seems to be lost these days.
I look forward to seeing more.

Don't worry. You'll get a screen and full details on the resort map soon. I did a decent amount of building today -

If I were you, I'd show that picture to all of the bitches
It'll be like a moisture bomb went off in their panties. -

Nothing gets my girl going more than some google map screenshots with MS paint circles all over them. -

Obviously I mean his new rct screen that he hasn't shown yet.
Silly Austin, google maps are for kids. -

I'd say there were still some of us out there that strive for great layouts primarily. -

A good coaster is much more than just a good layout. That's the quality gap right here. -

Yes, but no coaster is a great coaster without a good layout, no matter how amazing the theme is. -

The Project DR3 Resort Map will feature...
The Dimensions Resort:
- Massive awesome pool with a retractable cover
- A full casino and poker room
- VIP Villas with car lifts for in-room parking
- A convention center with a Comic Con in-progress
- Indoor basketball courts and a fitness center
- Whole Foods Market
- Shops
- Buffet
The Roller Coaster Hall of Fame:
- An Intamins coaster
- Dozens of donated coaster trains inside and on the building
- Displays honoring famous coasters, designers, parks and RCT
- A workshop where trains and tracks are disassembled
- FIU's new mechanical engineering building
- A kids workshop with an unlimited number of K-Nex and Coaster Dynamix pieces
- Models of many landmark coasters
- History timeline walk/display
Parking Complexes:
- One large $5 flat rate garage and a smaller free garage
- 20-30 (first level) restaurants and shops
- Moving paths and escalators
- 8-16 bridging paths to the Resort and HoF
- A non-big-ass-gray-block garage look
- A look inspired by the architecture of Coral Gables
Those three things will be the main features on the Resort Map, but enough talk. I know you want to see some in-game shit. Here is a look at I-95:
It's not finished. I need to make a new object to clean up that messy transition between road types in the bend. The lights object is a temp as I need to make a bigger one. This is not an attempt at a 100% accurate rec of what's really there, but I will keep it pretty close.
The Resort Map will be VERY public with lots of updates. I also hope to get as many guest spots as possible on the map. The same cannot be said for the park map, which will have few updates and even fewer guest spots. A little of both worlds on this project.
Comments and suggestions on new ideas are welcome. I am looking at this as somewhat of a community project. -

The coaster layouts will be way better than in DRC. I have come a long way since then. -

I'm looking forward to seeing 'The Roller Coaster Hall of Fame,' that sounds like a fun idea.
Otherwise, yeah, nice freeway. -

This comment made me instantly think of the parts in Starsky and Hutch where it's said that, "it's not a boat, it's a yacht."Fuck yeah, I love parking lots.
Fizzix, what area sounds good to you and what would you do with it? I want a lot of dialog in this topic. I doubt PMs will be used when it's time for a guest builder to go. I want us all to brainstorm in the open and see what happens, like H2H teams do.
