My best friends family is diehard Greek, so I'm going to go over to their house in all German clothes and watch the game with them

I don't agree that the Czechs didn't deserve to go trough. Sure, they didn't start very good but that's kinda logical against Russia. I expected Czech Republic and Poland to battle for the second place. And they did yesterday, and the Czechs were simply the better team. So they deserve to go trough in my opinion. -

Could solve the problem with the euro, The greek finance minister could put what ever money greece has left on a greek victory and germany could throw the game.
Win win for both as germany wouldn't have to bail them out every month and the greeks wouldn't be bankrupt. PROBLEM SOLVED

Last chance for the Dutch just went out of the window. There was sóme hope as it was 1-0 for both Germany and the Netherlands, would've meant only óne more Dutch goal and the Netherlands in the next round. However, after 45 mins. of play and both games at 1-1 there's no chance of reaching it any whatsoever.
Probably for the best. At least we'll be rid of all those drunken imbecils after tonight.

Congratulations Portugal, you are deserved 2nd in this group. You played well.
Netherlands... what can I say? This whole tournament, what a deception! There were glimpses of the world-class team that the Netherlands can be, but most of the time we sucked or the opponent played better. Let this be a lesson, and I'm sure there will be better times ahead again. Looking forward to 2014. -

What I find funny is that people say this is the worst we've ever played, but forget there were years the netherland weren't even allowed to compete in the main event. Hell we had to skip a world cup a few years back. Perhaps this is a good thing to put people back with their feet on the ground. -

I know Ukraine needed to win to pass the group phase but come on it was 1-1. That ball was way past the goal line. The video footage clearly shows it. TBH it frustrates me like hell that they still don't use electronic assist these days. They use it in other sports, why not football too?
