After two looks at both parks I still haven't decided. I wish I had more LL experience right now... -

Comparing an LL park and an RCT2 park is difficult. I vote for the RevoLLutionists simply because Carsland is of higher quality than Adventure Isle.
Adventure Isle wasn't bad at all. It was fun to watch, especially the mine train, but it had too many flaws too win. The architecture was nice in some places, but most buildings were just too simple or looked unfinished. The foliage looked boring and rushed; tropical foliage is difficult to do, you need to be more creative with different objects than just using palm trees and grass. The quarterblocks looked ugly, if you don't know how the use them in a beautiful way it's better not to use them at all. From the overview it looked like a very colourful park, but in-game the colours were rather boring an dull. Some more side attractions would have made everything more interesting as well. Certain parts like the ship and the queue entrance were very good but nothing really sticked out. I felt some thin exotic atmosphere, but it didn't 'evaporate' POTC enough to me. As a solo release this would be very nice, but everything just seemed a little to weak for H2H6. Don't worry though, I feel like the team used their weaker players for the first round and they did a very good job, I'm sure we can expect more spectacular work from the Germans in the future.
Carsland wasn't that spectacular either, but it showed a lot of skill, thought and refinement. I haven't seen the movie nor the real park, so that might affect my opninion though. Landscaping, foliage and especially architecture all were very good. The ride was original, beautiful and it somehow really fascinated me. I for once think the 'overuse' of codex improved the atmosphere: everything looked unusually clean and believable, that's what I prefer in LL. I loved all the little details like the tire change and the road lights. My only complaints are that you could have done more with some rather boring areas like the Cone Motel and the backstage zones, and that you used a lot of space for not that much to look at. I'm not saying it should have been more dense, but there just seems to be a lot of lost space. Still one of the best LL parks I've seen in the last couple of years, well done! -

First of all i enjoyed both park. They are well done!
Carsland:
Wonderful LL park. The hacks are well done. The building are well executed. Especially the racing coaster is nice. I can so many good ideas in the. Shame that i have no LL on my computer to watch this park ingame. The only thing is that i miss a bit the peeps in the park. They bring a good atmosphere into the park.
Adventure Island:
I think this a very solid rct2 park. The architecture in entrance area has some good details and great architecture. Watching down to the piers i saw maybe the best idea in the park, the sinking boat. Great! Also the pirate ship which is nice. But i miss a bit a highlight. The mine train is in my eyes not good enough to be the main ride of the park. Also the grey fortress look a bit monotonous.
Congrats to all the builders, you have done a really great job in the short time. All in all i prefer the Carsland, so my vote is:
Carsland from the RevoLLutionists. -

Sheesh I just realized I won't be able to vote for any matchups with the RevoLLutionists because I don't have LL... Damn I'm gonna have to buy it and install it before voting is up!! -

While Carsland had lots of great ideas, I'm voting Adventure Isle because there were many interesting little details and lots of atmopshere. -

It really sucks to see people here writing that they didnt't even looked at both parks ingame and still vote for one park. If you don't have LL then don't vote! -

^That's sportsmanship!
I too think you shouldn't vote if you don't have both games.
I wish Gee was still around to bring back the codes system, but meh. :/

Well, why don't you have both of the parks with a code in them with their startup message, then just get everyone who votes to PM Posix/Liampie with the code and their vote as well as their post in the forums?
Would only take an extra couple of minutes per park in total for everyone involved. Just put people who PM the codes on the voting list. -

^ Very nice idea! Please use this kind of new system to improve the voting system and help especially the LL parks to get better votings! -

As it appears to become an ethical necessity: Yes, I do have LL installed.Zee Germans, for me.

This is great. Who would have thought there would be as many people blindly voting for LL as there would be for rct2? I'm certain both parks have benefited from these votes, some people just aren't being as open about their lack of LL. Ruben makes an interesting point about voting for a screen over a park you can open in game .
The manual code idea is good but it's far too easy for one person with LL to distribute the code to whoever they want. Not saying this would happen but it would do nothing to prevent "suspicious" votes and people pointing fingers. The admins probably dismissed it as a futile effort.
I think it's just going to have to be understood that all our team's matches are going to be a complete clusterfuck since it'll be LL v rct2. -

(I actually don't care, I just couldn't resist.) -

Just FYI, for some reason the first page says someone named ReveLLUtionists voted for their park, but I think that should be Belgianguy.....

Such a hard choice. Cars Land feels rather.. empty and unfinished while Adventure Isle takes a very safe route but doesn't excel in anything. It has been done before and it has been done better. The hacking in Cars Land are incredible to say the least but Adventure Isle is way more appealing to the eye.
I didn't want to vote at first because I thought they were equally good, but I realized I just like Adventure Isle more. Well done hacking shouldn't be an argument at all and originality shouldn't be an argument either. I choose for Adventure Isle by the Flying Germans. -

Difficult one...
My experience with LL is very poor, but I really liked what I saw ingame.
I dont like the "car"-movies, but I think the theme was brilliantly transported to LL.
The hacks were well executed and the buildings were nice (And I really love the street lamps o.O)
The Adventure Isle is a pretty well executed RcT2 park, but some points just killed it for me. For example the burning houses at the PotC-Ride, the wall texture at those round towers, the top-left-corner-archy and the light-house-tower. On the other hand I really liked the layout of both rides and the many many ideas you´re able to find around the map.
In the end I´m with the revoLLutionists, but as I said it was a though decision for me. -

Why are people voting that CANT open up a LL park?
I vote for revoLLutionists
Only because FredD voted for Adventure Isle because he doesn't have LL.I don't have RCT1 so I can't open Carsland. I'll have to judge from the screen.
Carsland: it's a really nice concept, but it justs... misses a lot of details for me. That's the disadvantage of doing only LL. I can't appreciate RCT1 stuff, how good they are made with the means provided.
Adventure isle: the pirate theme is a theme which is hard to build in RCT. But you did a very good job on this park. A lot of lovely details and beautiful archy. The only I didn't really like whas the color of the supports of the mine train. Great job on this one, you have my vote.
I vote for Adventure isle.
