Hello folks, long time no see,
Here is a long shot of my "Miami Beach, Miracle Mile" build, I borrowed the term from New Orleans, hope they don't mind.
*sigh* That's the last time I saw my baby before my computer phutzed out on me and now the park is sitting in my old HD. All those trees and hills and lakes in the middle would have been removed and that's where the massive rollercoasters would have went in a "park within a park".
Since then (January) I have been working on a new one.
But, for now we'll check out the old park, it was a whole new way of building and a huge new park genre: resorts.
Here we have the first resort of this style I had built: The Majestic...
The hi-rise and the large extended lobby and pool area. Just above it is the Magic Lamp restaurant and there is a real Magic Lamp in Rancho Cucamonga CA. I remember as a kid, but it is not styled the way I have here, lol. (Best garlic cheese-toast in the world!)
http://www.themagiclampinn.com/
The Majestic was first on the beach and is the first in hospitality, come on in and have some stuffed prawns and sit by the pool, you don't even have to be a registered guest!
Next, we have The Terrace, a quieter, more refined resort...
The Terrace might be a little smaller and more modest than some of her neighbors, but they are proud of their 5-star cuisine, indoor-outdoor pool and unobstructed sea views, stop in and relax and let them pamper you.
A close-up...
Next to The Majestic there is the Edgewater...
The pool area...
Right behind The Terrace we have The Empress...
That is a bulky structure and took three evenings to build.
Here we have The Jet-Setter, I didn't get to finish it much, none of the park really got the final coat...
AND... I realize these are not finished and need more shrubbery etc... I lost my computer and all I have are these screens and an old HD sitting in a drawer.
Also, I realize many of you guys have built high-rises and skyscrapers for years now, go ahead and post your screens here, I love seeing them!
Next, we'll showcase some of the restaurants and maybe put a few sneak-peaks of the New "Miami Miracle Mile" build.

That's actually really cool! Ever check out the work by a user named "RCTNW"...?
Thanks!
No I sure haven't, but will have to look them up.
Say, is there a thread here devoted to skyscrapers?
About the highest buildings I see here are about 4 or 5 stories...
Anything up in the 20 story range folks?

Just look up RCTNW. You won't be disappointed.
I tried searching and I get an error message.
Maybe you could link me to a thread?
Thanks, but I'm having a time navigating the site, I'd appreciate it.
edit: And it's just the one member...? Is that all?
I figured everyone was doing this from what they say...
Heck, I figured we'd be bombarded by skyscrapers by now...

RCTNW, is king of huge structures ! Most people on here spend their rct-time building amusement/theme parks.
except for ivo, nobody still knows what he does -

I can't really comment on this as your approach to the game clearly differs from mine and most of the other NE's members, plus you'll feel bullied as well. If you're interested in RCT skyscrapers here are some interesting links:
Azuris City
Lots of parks by RCTNW
The Island
Stratosphere Atlantic City
Thrill Towers
Can't think of more right now... But there probably is more.
And two screens (old) from one of my under construction parks:
I'm sorry if this post came across as cruel and hostile.
edit: I forgot the best one!

It would look really cool if you built a themepark behind those buildings. As an urban setting for your themepark. -

Yes, the thought had crossed my mind too.
From the starter...*sigh* That's the last time I saw my baby before my computer phutzed out on me and now the park is sitting in my old HD. It looks cool but I think that the white building (world travel) has much white, and try some other textures for the building. I think that would look better!
