Say, I don't know why I can't start a thread in "place-to-release-your-parks".

And I'm sorry, I didn't see a "sight issues" or "forum feedback" section...

I want to post pics of a recent build, I am not interested in "contests" or "accolades" okay...

Because you can release parks by uploading it into the database. It will get a topic of its own then, in the 'Releases' forum. The 'place-to-release-your-parks' is just an archive forum.

The reason I ask is because I tried to submit a park, my first one... and recieved nothing but grief it seemed...

Hey... I don't care as much about contests and "accolades" as much as they seemed to think I do or as much as I actually do. (Hey, it's not like I'm receiving an award from Chris Sawyer, right?...)

(How long has it been since I posted here?) (Well there's a reason for that...)

So I wondered with all the rules and all if I wasn't excluded somehow... one tends to wonder after a bit of experience here, sorry for having my defenses up...

I care mostly about the game...

And mostly like to share and check out what other builders are doing...- that's all. The "site" stuff... I really don't come here so much for that...

It's the game foremost, not your web site...

And I'm sorry... but I've seen some of your "award winning" and "accolade" parks... (And I'll say nothing about them...)

Host the forum, do that if you care about the game...and frankly, get over yourself...

I expect the site to support the game... and the members who love it, not the other way around...

I just looked at your releases by the way and I can't find what you meant with you were just getting grief.

The atmosphere on this site is mostly very friendly and we're always open to new members. No need to come out in this topic and start critizising the site and insulting it's beloved parks when nobody here was unfriendly to you. Get that attitude outta the way man!

Someone spends months of their life working on a park... only to have some snoot (frankly) (who can't build one-tenth of their scenario btw) come and offer them left-handed comments... this site is famous for it.

I'm not usually one to rant but I just wanted to say this.

It's called constructive criticism and it doesn't mean you have to take every word to heart. Art is subjective. Not everyone will like every park/screen you release but they will provide suggestions on what you can do to make it more appealing to them, or, in general. It's up to you as the builder to decide if it's advice you will follow.

Everyone on this site only wants the best for this game otherwise we wouldn't still be here after 10 years and be what is slowly becoming the only RCT fan site on the internet. It's a testament to the passion the members have for this game.

Many new members have joined this site over the years and have become valued members of the community (and some of the best parkmakers the game has seen.) We mean to be nothing but friendly to all new members and will gladly offer help, guidance and advice if we receive the same in return.

I hope you can reconsider your views on this site and give yourself time to integrate into the culture here. Unlike in other RCT forums, the members here aren't afraid to mince their words.

I didn't just form this opinion overnight... I've seen what you do to newbies, I've watched it for more than a year, so don't try and kid us all.

No... I stand by my previous statement... you might not like it... I admit it is only an opinion.

But I guess you guys can afford to trash newbies... afterall, it's what keeps all other sites going: people you have dissed over the years...

Well I'm sorry to hear that. I've been here for approaching 9 years and have experienced nothing but a friendly warmth from this community, even during the peak days of this sites so-called 'elitism'. I'm sure the vast majority of other members would agree with me.

This site has its fair share of characters, what community doesn't? Some of them may come across as hostile or aggressive towards new members but that's their personality and just how it is. I believe the saying is 'If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen'.

I see that you're pretty set in your opinion and that's fine, you're more than entitled to it. I will say no more on the matter other than everybody here has a real passion for this game and whilst to some it may not seem the case, we are always grateful to see new faces around here after all of these years.

so, let me get this straight...

you waltz in here, to a site in which 20+ people spend their OWN TIME providing votes, logos, maps, taster screens and fucking write-ups, and claim we don't care about the people who enjoy the game?
