Oh right, I forgot round robin is almost over. Well that sucks! I hope you guys aren't gonna put this on yourselfs or your team mates. It's your captain who left you!

Right, obviously, it's not terribly cool to have your captain disappear on you. But at the end of the day, what matters is that you play and produce a park for the round you're scheduled in, whether your captain is watching or not.

The captain is the most important part of the team but we never really had a captain...just like in H2H5. It's really sad to see almost every park of us being unfinished because we would have had the potential with a good captain.

Yes, Magnus is MIA, and there is nobody to really push us on our parks. Because of this, it is hard for people to build without getting super frustrated. It's really sad what has happened this year to us, and I'm sorry to Flying Germans who had this happen last year.

Alright FG's, enough with the public magnus-blaming/pity party. I know the unfinished state of my round robin park is because I did not devote enough hours to working on it. Perhaps it affected my motivation slightly, but I can't imagine magnus' being around could have changed this drastically enough for us to have a finished park. I'm trying to imagine what he might have said, and it may have even come off as annoying and demotivating, and for that I almost appreciate his more removed approach.

^Well said. A captain isn't magically going to motivate 10 players who can't finish a park by themselves.

Just pointing that out since it means only my Hurricanes will be able to use an extension during the playoffs/finals

Two seasons in a row now making it through the season without using it

I don't blame them for using there extension they are going to have a hard time making a park the same or better than the umbrella park.

Maybe there's something I'm not seeing but if "match 1" of a round is extended, why are we waiting until the 3 days are up to start putting up matches? Why not simply put up match where both parks have been received for the deadline?

What? Re-read the second sentence of the post you quoted. You're just supporting my point.
I resent the sudden public airing of grievances from you two. The park was due a month ago. You should have come to terms or posted your concern in the park topic in the team forum by now.

(Not only) you were an on-and-off player this season. Which made his motivation go down aswell. Sounds pretty reasonable to me, what's your point?

I honestly don't think you're in a position to criticize others for not doing stuff. With a few exceptions, nobody from the FGs is.

They obviously know they're going to win it all and are just using their extension as a "see, we don't even need it anyway" type message, duh.

Yeah I have no idea why they did it either.

You know those movie scenes where the hero/villain descends from his horse to fight the enemy under more equal conditions? We are the hero/villain. The deadline extension is the horse. Round 5 is the descent. The enemies are the teams we'll face in the playoffs. The Hurricanes stay on their horse. Tactically that is a wise decision, but ethically not so much.
