Will points be awarded (eventually) to the creators of these parks? I realize it all can't happen at the same time, but just curious if it will happen.

I don't think so, they're planning on phasing out the point system.

I'd like there to be some reward, yes. If not in the form of points then at hand of a different solution. The points are just way too static and need to be improved on with something new. Do you even look at the rankings regularly? They were my own idea, and not even I care for them now. If you guys want to have the point discussion now then I'm happy to but please let it be in a dedicated topic.

Yes, I've been thinking about this too for a while, and I think bringing back the Parkmaker status has its pros and cons. What is holding it back for me though, is the inactivity issues previous NE Parkmakers had when chosen to be a NE Parkmaker.

What I think would be really a cool idea and could potentially bring back a ton of activity and an interesting long term site feature is kind of a featured parkmaker status. With that I mean that the park the Parkmaker is constructing gets a special page, where progress can be found and which could have cool features such as how many map data objects are currently in the park for example. I'll sketch it out in a seperate topic later on, but at least for me it would be very interesting and I'm sure for people who want to follow his favorite parkmaker too.

In order to become a "featured parkmaker" you have to win a Spotlight, to ensure you have the quality.

I don't necessarily think the point system is bad; I think it's very good and rewarding.
The site just need some exclusive feature like I mentioned above..

I actually do look at the points fairly regularly, I like to see how I'm climbing the ladder and stuff. Frags' idea of a the current parkmaker is a great idea. But maybe don't make the criteria "spotlight winning" because I will never get that . Maybe a certain point total and either a spotlight or two golds or something like that.

A sort of weird but maybe feasible ranking system could be if instead of points we just got an average of the scores for our parks? So a bit like K:D ratio in video games. But I'm not sure I like this idea too much

That average system, cocoa, is nice.

Want to see where Liampie would stack with that lol.

I think 2 golds, 1 spotlight both qualify for parkmaker.

You know it's really disheartening that with how hard the teams work to meet deadlines that you guys take this long to post match-ups. Get with it guys, if you need help just ask.

Making the maps isn't as automatic and easy as you guys may think. It's a pretty complex process that requires knowledge and skill of both the game and Photoshop.

These weeks are the busiest I've had in years, and I'm using all available NE-time for prepping H2H parks and building. In two weeks, I'll have more time and I will take the time to learn making maps. That would make a difference. Until then, sincere apologies for the delay. I don't like to wait either.

I'd like to ask everyone to not ask when the parks are coming anymore. While I fully understand it and agree that the wait shouldn't be so long, there's not much we can do at the moment. I can say for myself that I'm doing everything I can to release the parks as soon as possible. Everything but the maps have been prepped.

Guys please don't fuss about it so much. Just try to put yourself in admins place. They need to work 6 maps at the same time.
