So reading over these past few pages has convinced me that unless some people are forced to let their parks do the talking it just won't happen. I have thus removed Cena's posting rights in all forums but his team forum, where I hope all his energy can concentrate to produce good parks.

That said, I think we can definitely have a discussion on anonymous teams for the match presentation. There's still some time before the first round so why not. My opinion is that it would emphasise the "vote on the park you think is better" message to people even more and I think that's preferrable.

I would rather not have the anonymous park voting. Point one is that we know who is due to to go against who each week already, and it will probably be incredibly easy to figure out which parks are by who. I am pretty sure that if you could guess just two of the parks shown (which is not a stretch, considering the closeness of our community) then that would mean you know their competition and could then probably guess which one is which for the remaining matchup. Someone would figure it out and then post what is what, and it would kill the whole point of anonymity.

I also think that once people are fairly sure which parks are by who (but are not 100% certain) then they will be much more susceptible to bias. They will tell themselves "I don't know which park is which, so obviously I'm not bias" but in truth they will know and hence they will look at the park of the team they think worse of in a more negative light. Basically, if you go into a match expecting one team to win, you're going to want to keep convincing yourself that this initial view was right even after you've viewed both parks, and you won't accept that you're being bias because "obviously you don't know what parks are by who"

point two being I love the friendly (well, mostly) competition that results when you know what teams are going against each other. I enjoy charting a team's progress and making predictions when parks are released. Part of the fun is the tension and enjoyment that results from viewing and voting for teams that you know and can support. You wouldn't watch a football game where both teams are wearing masks and blank uniforms so that you don't know who's won until the end. How much fun would that be?

Something which could help a little (which may already be implemented for all I know) is that you wouldn't show the current voting scores until the end of the time, like how you do it for the ne awards.

The thing that I find more unfair this year is that the voting codes thing seems not to be in effect. It was a pain in the ass, but it will give Louis's team a fighting chance (on second thought, nah, we're fine without them )

I agree with Cocoa. If the whole H2H schedule of other teams than your own was secret, then anonymous voting would be useful, but right now I don't think it has any point. I like the tension between the teams (as long it doesn't become a fight like on the last couple of pages, but that wasn't really tension between teams, of course).

Not showing the voting scores until the end of the time is more fair, but on the other it's always so exciting to see who's going to win, especially if your own team is involved, so I'm not sure about that.

I must say I'm a fan of the anonymous park system. I always got a laugh out of some of the assumptions people had trying to guess who built it, and the surprise they got when the actual names were released.

Not knowing who builds each park is one of my favorite parts of H2H... It better not go away.
