Battlefield 3 ruined the Call of Duty franchise for me. BF3 is such an obviously superior game and made me realize how much CoD sucked. -

^unfortunately my brief experiences with BF3 showed me that it sort of turned out like halo, in that only people who are really good at it still play. there's no room for new people to join in and do OK, but COD is very noob friendly. I'm not saying any of this is a good thing, but from someone who just enjoys multiplayer casually, BF3 is just not accessible to me. -

Black Ops 2 COULD be good. It just needs to fix some basic, fundamental mechanics and alter a few guns/gun classes. There's something wrong when SMGs dominate every map, and when you die before you pull your gun up from sprinting even with Dexterity. Lag compensation is annoying as all hell. But the game is a bit fresh and much more promising than MW3. I just hope it fulfills it or else I'm probably back to Black Ops until I get Halo 4. -

I've actually kinda been wanting to get this game. But then I realized that I won't be able to get it until NEXT Christmas at the earliest, and I might not even get ANYTHING at all because I'll be 18 then. I'll probably be getting a drum set for Christmas this year which means I won't be able to get anything else for my birthday or Christmas this year. I can't start playing MW3 because the only people who play that are the level bajillion prestige people, and if what Cocoa said about BF3 is true, I can't play that either, because I was never good. -

Sixty dollars is an assload of money for a video game.
EDIT: To clarify, an example - I got Minecraft and TL2 for 10€ each. And I'm continuing to play the sh*t out of those games. They don't give me less value than a CoD game or any other big gaming brand.
Oh, and paid DLC sucks balls. -

Sixty dollars is an assload of money for a video game that is basically remade year after year. There are some games that I would pay a $100+ for, like Skyrim, FF7, Kingdom Hearts. These games are epic and worth a good amount of money in my eyes. -

Somehow sports games make more money every year than any other game genre. I really don't know how considering that actually IS the exact same game every year.
Have to agree with Wanted on Skyrim though. It took me forever to get around to actually playing it, and then dropped 50 hours in one week. Still playing and modding away. I'm on the fence about games like Dishonored though. Sure it was a fantastically awesome game and I got a few play-throughs out of it, but all that considered it was only ~27 hours of game time. Not sure that's a $60 package until they release some more stuff for it, be it DLC or some kind of lore. -

it's all about replay value.
yea, i think $60 is steep but if you buy cod and play it almost every day of the year, i wouldn't consider that a waste. games like skyrim, bioshock, and dishonored are great, but they're the same price and you'll most likely play through them one, two, maybe three times... and that's that. through that perspective, sports games and yearly fps' are more bang for your buck. -

1st prestige lvl 50 right now.
Personally I think this COD is, close to - if not the best.
For Multiplayer, The maps ans spawn alike aren't terrible at all, and supports a wide variety of gameplay, The weapons are balanced pretty well, with no weapon being too powerful without a downside (Kap40's magazine) and are fully customizable without stupid proficiencies are new and refreshing, bringing back camos both new and old. My only two complaints about multiplayer are the excessive use of bouncing bettys... I HATE THOSE THINGS... and the fact that knifing has no range whatsoever. My personal favorite map is Slums.
The Campaign is interesting, In the storyline Woods (old guy from 1st black ops)reminisces on the past and how he and Menendez (the main villain) are connected. The past is sad and my jaw dropped to the floor when I found out how Mason died. Anyways, classes are customizable In campaign mode, and at crucial moments, decisions can be made which change the outcome of the storyline.
As for Zombies... I haven't really gotten into it, but my friends tell me the combination of teams against eachother while against zombies works out pretty well, that the maps are small, but satisfying, and that you can get ANY gun from the mystery box, not just from the Campaign.
With that being said, I'm very impressed with BO2, and this is a huge step forward from Mw3.
EDIT: end of campaign.. Avenged Sevenfold video = Epic -

To avoid bouncing betty's simply go prone when you hear the beep or use flak jacket. They are easily avoidable. The good thing about this game is that everything has a counter. -

Also a PS3 guy. I'll add you two, don't feel like putting my name out there hah. I was really frustrated for the first 35 or so levels of multiplayer. SMG's are ridiculous in almost every situation. Even when I do use one, I feel my (sometimes)3 bar is a massive disadvantage, and I end up dying a ton anyway.
Part of this is because I'm used to being a ridiculously aggressive Modern Warfare player, and, let's face it, those run much smoother. I was done with BO after just a few weeks because of this. I'm getting back into playing more defensively again, and I've had minimum problems since. The past 10 or so levels have been a joy, and I can see me playing this for awhile.
So yeah. Played a few minutes of Zombies, and no campaign. Maybe I'll get back on and write about those when I do, but for now, I'm getting some solid enjoyment out of this.
And guys, message me if you want my name, otherwise I'll just add you. Don't have a ton of time to play generally, so don't set your expectations too high haha. -

My favorite weapons.
Assault Rifles: type25, M27
SMG's: MSMC, Vector
Shotguns:the almighty R870
Snipers:DSR(The Tron sniper)
Favorite attachments are the Millimeter scanner (AKA the Anticamper) and the all time favorite suppressor for just about every COD -
