Hello everyone! New member here, old-school RCT1 player. I didn't know there were still active RCT1/2 community, but some nice people pointed me in this direction and now here I am. I've been playing RCT1 on and off since '08; I just want to share a few things that I've been working on and a few coasters that I've built. :)

I'm probably most well known by my Micro Park which took about 3 months to build and posted on Reddit 7 months ago:

A Drexler's patch-modified park with a true 13x13 grid and $1,000,000 dollars. Everything else unchanged. All height restrictions still intact, nothing clipping, etc. All rides are serviceable and have proper exits except for the hedgerow maze.

    A breakdown of the rides:
    2 Swinging Ships
    1 Go Kart
    5 Motion Simulators
    1 Ghost Train
    1 Carousel
    3 Roto-Drops
    1 Observation Tower
    1 Gravitron
    2 Space Rings
    1 Boat Ride
    1 Hedgerow Maze
    1 Bumper Cars
    1 Scrambled Eggs
    1 Crooked House
    1 Steel Wild Mouse Rollercoaster
    4 Corkscrew Rollercoasters
    4 Vertical Rollercoasters

In addition to the Micro Park, I'm also working on other parks; my favorite type of rollercoaster is the wooden rollercoaster, and I'm moreso a coaster-creator than a them-park builder. Here are a few screens of my best work:

Octagon Park: 2 Wooden Coasters, 2 Steel Twister Coasters, 1 Flying Coaster. My original save had three more vertical coasters tightly interwoven but I've lost the more advanced saves :(. There were also three monorails going in opposite directions (and one cutting through the middle, through the mountain) in the densely-packed park. You can see the first of the three vertical coasters in progress at the bottom in green. The Flying coaster (Dungeon Master) is built completely underground! Octagon Park had 4 themed sections: Wonderland (entrance), Winter/snow (mountain), Medieval (left), and Future/techno (bottom), but in this save the fourth themed section is still WIP. I'm in the process of recreating this park to its former glory.

Dusty Desert: 1 Vertical Coaster, 1 Inverted Coaster, 1 Wooden Twister, 1 Stand-up Roller Coaster. Good 'ol coasters everywhere shenanigans.

Good Knight Park: 2 Wooden Twisters - circling the whole park and pretty much touching every other ride in the park. I made it themed as far as RCT1 limitations could go, with the two coasters weaving about castle walls, gates, and other castle-y structures. Disregard the colorful wooden one, I was probably drunk (lol.)

Grand Glacier: 1 Wooden Coaster, another one of my themed coasters. The landscaping and decorating cost me a fortune, but the whole park is decorated to the brim, with a theme village and so forth.

Sunny Swamps: 3 Wooden Coasters - my proudest set of coasters, and the only one to break the 10 excitement barrier! All 3 coasters have moments of interplay (including a section where two trains pass each other in opposite directions), 3 tracks passing through the shuttle loop, and a water splash.

Woodworm Park: 1 Virginia Reel, 1 Wooden Reverser, other various coasters. I found out it is incredibly difficult to get an 8 excitement rating for a Virginia Reel. :p Also in the process of testing my Reverser. Oops.

That's all for now! Enjoy! I'll poke around here some more. :)

    Welcome to NE! :)

This stuff really brings back memories. I still thoroughly enjoy making parks like this. In fact, I made one pretty recently on the Please Island scenario.

    Check it out here: http://www.nedesigns...leasure-island/

I'll be looking forward to seeing more.
