This is my first post and on the same time I am totally astonished how alive this community is and still plays RCT2! I love it!

I played it all night long 2002-2003 and didn't really build anything serious until now. It seems like I can make it finishing this huge park I don't have a title yet.

Maybe you could help me find a cool name? The working title is "Albpark", because I want it to be a placed in my home region in the Swabian Alps, although it's just fictional ;-) I came up with "World of Swabia" or "Swabian Amusement Park", but I would also like a German title.

Here are a few screens that show, what's done and what's left. As you see, I've got a heck lot of work to do. :D

    Overview

    Switzerland theme - Alpicat Bobbahn

Switzerland theme - Klipphänger water attraction and on the north start of theme area "Seeneria"

    Another one out of Switzerland

    Seeneria with main attraction "Fürstenjäger"

Currently I'm working on the above seen island, which will follow the style and atmosphere of "Monkey Island". At least I try to. The island will only be accessable via train/chain lift and railroad and on the other side of the city "Puerto Pollo" there will be a small pirate ville. So far I don't know what kind of main attraction I'm going to build on the island, because I don't want a coaster to be too big. I want to keep the scenery elements quite low.

At last I have to note that all the pictures I'm showing are made with old cso elements, yesterday I finally managed to import tons of new stuf via parkdat which will help a lot building stuff more the way I want it to be!

This looks fantastic. I’m usually not fond of hectic layouts, but there’s something about this that I really like. It might be the way the rides are nestled between the architecture and landscaping, as though being a part of the area rather than a later addition. I think the varied textures work very well here, and the use of colour is excellent too, with the hints of purple and black fitting in nicely with the red, brown and white. Overall, highly inspiring screens and I hope to see more of this :)

I'm glad everyone's liking my work so far, though I would like you to criticise my work a little bit, so that I know what I can improve! :)

@5Dave: of course I know you! not from the english board if you mean that, but from some german pages i know you very well... it immediately reminded me that I know you! :D gosh, great work everyone's doing here. and how awesome is this site with all the rankings, pretty logos (you're doing a great job there!) and detail in perfection. and it seems everyone here is willing to help other's to improve and just have fun with the game. no jealousy and disgrace, just having fun commenting on other's work and the detailed utilization of objects.

Btw: I really need a park name I can relate myself to :D

Hey Infest, welcome to NE. I'm really happy to hear you enjoy the site. That's what we created it for :)

I agree with the comments so far- the screens look rather cool. I like the vividness of your style. Sometimes it's a bit chaotic, but I get the impression that that's precisely what you want to achieve.

If you're looking for a German park name then maybe a bit of a boring and conventional name like "Schwäbisches Wunderland" would do? I think there is a park with a quite similar name in Southern Germany, no? I wouldn't get too indecisive and worked up about the name. The skill you present in your work is more important, and if it's apparent, which it is, people will usually like whatever name you choose, because they will connect the nice design to whatever name you choose.

Keep us posted with screens of this!

    Thank you guys!

As i said, I'm working on Monkey Island right now!

    Posted Image

This is the template I'm using to build the new themed area. It's Plunder Island out of the game Monkey Island 3!
The little town there is called Puerto Pollo which I'm also building. It won't be exactly the same, I just want to have the same map and similar track names and a caribic feeling to it.

This is the middle age castle you can see on the picture above on the left!
As you see, I didn't copy it but tried to build it around the existing hill.

At first I didn't want to have any high attractions on the island, but I made a exception with the free fall tower, since I like my idea of sitting there in the ruins of an old middle age castle, waiting to be shooted out and having an excellent outlook. I don't know what you guys think about that?!

Oh yea, supports of the monorail aren't done yet of course, I just wanted to finish the station beneath the ruins of the castle so that I don't have to handle with that later on.
