I really want to like it but the tower looks quite small compared to the structure of what's gonna be the church and it looks overdetailed. -

I never said rct3 looks crap, I just cite what the other said, I like both games.Honestly, I'm getting sick and tired of hearing this. Yeah the core game looks like crap. But ask a stranger how RCT2 looks. At least RCT3 has the potential to actually look believable and realistic. I find this extremely insulting towards the whole RCT3 community, and feel anything but complimented.
I love both games, but this is simply delusional, any stranger would disagree. My friends give me compliments when I show them my RCT3 work, they laugh at me when they see me playing RCT2.
Also, you haven't seen shit of what's out there. -

From what i can see it looks like a gothic cathedral which are always over the top with details i would keep this if i where you add a roof and windows in between the side pillars and i think you have a very good building.
@Chorkiel: I think the tower is well scaled if he makes the roof the same height as the front arch of the main cathedral building and if you keep the layout of the main bit as it is now, The rectangular shape and do what you have done with the pillars on the right of the building to the left. If you get what i mean.
But if you don't have any purpose for this building leon, recycle bin it. -

^well, looking again at it, scale-wise the tower could be of great size.
But the whole building could be bigger. It's a cathedral/church which are usually meant to be either really big or rather small.
currently it's mediumsized. The towers were build big so people could see them from a distance so they know they had a place to go.
I agree that churches need a lot of details but those details are ornaments and not bricks/stones sticking out or weird shaped things. Most of those buildings were build hundreds of years ago and they weren't far enough back then to build crazy structures to that height. (it still amazes me how they build some of the churches/cathedrals currently standing). -

Have you ever been to Britain, They where building churches/cathedrals this big back in the 1300's maybe even before and some still stand tall today over 700 years after they were completed. Yes they didn't have some of the crazy details that leon has in this particular building but i can see what he is going for .... About size i would say thats quite a substantial building, And if this had been built in those days it would be seen from miles around -

I love this, maybe change the texture of the floor infront of the door. I feel the scale is quite good. -

There isn't.I don't know whether there's a rule to ban out non-themepark projects for submission?

Thanks guys!
I'm sorry RCTER2, I guess my comment was aimed at Ruben then.I never said rct3 looks crap, I just cite what the other said, I like both games.
You seem to have a very narrow source or reference when it comes to this kind of architecture. The church wasn't meant as a medieval cathedral, it is meant to be a 19th century neogothic church, often found dowmtown or in small communities. Most of them are medium size and have sculptural and structural shape and detail.^well, looking again at it, scale-wise the tower could be of great size.
But the whole building could be bigger. It's a cathedral/church which are usually meant to be either really big or rather small.

Thanks for your advice Chorkiel, but sometimes I feel like you're 'forcing' it, if you get what I mean.
Thanks! In that case wait for it to be released someday! There isn't.
I have some good news and bad news.
My laptop broke down, and my hard-drive crashed. Luckily I've backed-up most of my RCT files. I should be able to get both my themed and parks etc back. I installed RCT platinum today, but didn't install any custom scenery or tools yet.
I was so excited about having RCT again, I started playing the basic core game without any additions. I'm quite surprised with the possibilities of the in-game scenery. Inspired by the Palace of Justice in Brussels I started putting objects together.
This is what came out, my first serious creation without the use of custom scenery or tools:
So... Guess that's what bare RCT3 looks like. -

That's surprising. Never would expect that from basic RCT3. IT wouldn't be a bad idea to keep building this -

Wow, I play RCT3 with custom scenery and my buildings are not like that!
If you build like that with custom scenery, you build better with other types of scenery! -

I don't see how it's possible to make a building like that without CS. If it really is NCS then you've achieved a whole new level of boss in RCT. -

I quit.
Edited to say:
Do you have the option txt cheat that allows object collision on? -
leonidas Offline
lol I did none of those things, nor did I use any cheat. I just played the game as it was presented to me when I installed it. I do have RCT platinum ofcourse.
Thanks for all the support! -

Leon, I get what you meant but I thougt it was meant to be a gothic church because I remember you posting the tower a while earlier and I recalled (now I'm not sure anymore) that you called it.
I'm not an architect but I know there's a difference between gothic and negothic.
Keep building, I always love your (rct2) work! -

haha dude I've recently been to Brussels and without reading what you said I instantly thought of the palace of justice there. Good job! -

Leon, you are here since 2010-03-27, and you didn't released nothing?
I wanna see a RCT2 park of you! -
leonidas Offline
^ lol thanks. I just don't have the patience to do a full-blown park.
I work incredibly slow and detailed, I think that's what's holding me back.
Sorry for another empty building without any purpose, lol.
I've been out of inspiration for quite a while and honestly I've found painting and drawing
to be a better way of expressing myself than RCT recently. I just don't know what I want anymore.
Well, anyway.
Enjoy.
