Hello all! I had a question about using those custom supports. How do I use them?? Is it an 8cars thing? Must I hack to use them? What? I really would like to know and I'd love for some help. Thanks.
(Although I may appear to you guys as a "noob", I'm really not. That guy helped me discover this site and I've been coming here since freerider's floating resort came out and dreamport got its spotlight. I know everyone's scared of KONG and I'm happy he's getting a new bench Sooooo I do know a bit about what goes on here. Wish i didn't miss the fiesta though. Oh well, next time! But yeah so I hope you guys will welcome me quite nicely. This site is amazing and I'm glad to be a part of it now ) -

If you're careful about how you use them you don't need to hack or use 8cars. It's essentially just positioning them where you want and lining up the pieces so they all connect. But sometimes the track is in the way, in which case you need to use zero-clearances in 8cars (don't forget to restore clearances when you're done). Hope that helps. -

Yeah, you just keep telling yourself that, Dorothy. Click your heels three times and repeat after me: "I'm really not a noob...I'm really not......"Although I may appear to you guys as a "noob", I'm really not.

Make sure when youre doing the custom supports that you start from the TOP and work your way down. At least, thats how I do it. For me, if i went from ground-up, I always got dumbass ghost objects everywhere. -

The problem I'm having Xophe must be the positioning then. Cause whenever I try to do something, the default supports are in the way! Although I guess I'll need to get 8cars at some point anyway. 1.3...02? I don't remember the name of the one people say to use -

Use 8cars 1.302. Thats what Ive always used and rarely have problems with it. As for the default supports, use ja227's invisible support blocker to get them out of your way.
EDIT: Theres also a method with using full tile building blocks. Lower the land under the support by 1, put the block in the place, then raise the land and the support should be gone.
