I'm starting to wonder if either the DLL's for 8cars are corrupt OR if possibly the bench I use (I use a variation of the same bench for all my projects) might be corrupt.

That's why I have to wonder if the trainer(s) itself, the DLL's for it or possibly the bench I use has somehow become corrupt.

This is starting to sound, to me at least, like the most likely problem. Every project that I've had this issue with has been built on a variation of the same bench. Initially, I figured that the RR one was a bench supplied by RCTSpace for the contest, so I kind of ruled it out...but, thinking about it now, I recall that that was just about the only time that they allowed us to use our own bench. I've started numerous other projects on the same bench without issue....but, none of them progressed as far as the three that I've mentioned that have all had these major problems.

So, as painful as it's going to be for me....I guess I'm gonna have to spend a day or two creating an entire new bench from the scenario editor forward (that non-scrolling small objects tab is gonna be a bitch) and dump any projects I have on the current bench. Although, it will also be kind of a blessing of sorts...I'll finally have the motivation to create all the new object tabs I've been intending to do forever. Plus, a sort of "fresh start" on RCT for me.

EDIT: I will finish "Tsunami" though...I'm too close to scrap that one.

Ok, in response to the above post...I apologize to everyone that voted for me in this. But, as you can see, I've had issues that were truly beyond my control for quite some time now...without knowing why. It hasn't ever been a lack of effort on my part in regards to not finishing things...but, when everything you try to build is beset by black holes and shit that you have absolutely no control over, it makes finishing projects extremely difficult.

I'm going to reinstall the game, create a brand new corruption-free bench to work with from now on (with a backup as soon as it's completed to have a fresh copy if anything like this ever happens again) and promise to not let anyone that has my back down in the future.

^No, you didn't. Saying "Even after Vulture, I won't believe it till I see it" is not calling anything. Which reminds me...after going through a bunch of saved games that all have had numerous black hole issues and coming to the realization that I've been building on a corrupted bench for at least two years now...the fact that I finished something as technical as Vulture at all after overcoming everything I dealt with in that build boggles my mind.

I can't fucking wait to get building again with a renewed vigor that will come from not having to worry about that shit every time I open the game.

To be honest I hope you don't get your problems solved for the selfish reason that I will miss the "Can K0NG finish?" drama bombs that drop around here every few weeks.

I'm confident you'll come up with some other angle though.

See, that's the worst part of all this shit that I've endured for what seems like forever. I've personally always realized the issues I've had to deal with and the frustration that accompanies it while everyone (and, I mean everyone) else has found some kind of joy in giving me grief for not being "able" to finish things. It isn't, and never has been, about ability. It's always been about, as some (including myself) have mentioned..."RCT hating me". A major part of my above mentioned "renewed vigor" is the realization that I'll be able to shut all of you the fuck up from now on. Some people need a road trip to an exotic locale or theme park for inspiration. I just needed a new bench.

^Not unless there's a lengthy, lengthy extension. I've scrapped every project built on this bench (but one, and this aint it) and would have to start from scratch. THat was another reason I asked about converting a saved game into a scenario. I was hoping that I could do that with this project...renew the map data and just have to rebuild the rides. Which would have been a major pain in the ass but, would have been much more efficient than starting over from scratch.

And that is how stupid you really are. Maybe JDP tricks us all and he has a whole different thing going on? KONG and I are having troubles finishing, but we aren't completely dead yet.

Meh, I have no trust in JDP's NCSO to beat any of you. and we all know his CSO work isn't any better than his NCSO..

Technically, I was the first to complete this as my entry has been submitted. Now, that doesn't mean much being that I simply wanted to finish my entry and thus skipped a vial objective but hey, I finished something so I don't really care.
