I have an interview tomorrow at Dorney Park for an Area Supervisor position in their Park Operations Department. Needless to say, I am quite excited.

Just a quick update, unfortunately I did not get the job as an Area Supervisor, due to my lack of experience and being new to Dorney/Cedar Fair. However, I was offered a job as an (Assistant) Team Leader for Thunderhawk/Scrambler. I will most likely be accepting this job, but I am still waiting to hear back from BGW and SFGAm on intern positions.

Bummer to hear dude, but it's great that you were at least offered a spot at the park. Hope everything works out for you.

Get some experience with the team leader job and then you can get the area supervisor thing later.

On that note, I also got a job as a Ride operator at Dorney Park. Will be on White Water Landing/Meteor this year. Should be a little more peaceful then my position last year, working the new coaster Stinger. Team lead is a good job, I know a few people who moved up the ranks from there. Will probably see you there, although if you do get a higher-up job somewhere else, good luck.

Very cool, AK. I worked as a ride op for Shipwreck Falls and High Seas (same ride type combo) at Six Flags America, it was a lot of fun.

This. At Six Flags I had a few team leads bump up to supervisors during my time there. Was mid-season too. I then became team lead.

Just got into Columbia's GSAPP MArch I! This will be a difficult decision...

I ran a 15:08 in cross country today, broke my school record.

Just thought I'd put this here since all other ride ops people were putting their stuff,

I'm currently working at SFGAm, my home unit is Whizzer/HTFM/Orbit. However I'm also certified at Raging Bull, Viper, Chubasco and X-flight. I basically run the park.

I wrote a full song in less than an hour today! My first completed lyrics and they came together insanely fast.

These days I do pageant photos at the ones my daughter goes to. It's pretty good money.

 

And my daughter won first place overall at one yesterday in Austin.
