    THE FLAG! SEE MY FLAG!

Curacao is totally the shit. The first thing I did when I woke up this morning was jumping into our own pool. I'm watching huge ships pass by and there's a dead cat on the beach, accompanied by lots of cool crabs. We're chasing down lizards with our cameras. It's a simple life and I love it.

How do you even change the flag? I've been trying to change mine to Mexico since mid-June.

Are you in Mexico? That might help...

Just finished my first week of my first job.

Yeah it goes off your IP. I'm not really Korean... I'll have the good ol Stars and Stripes back in 18 days.

Didn't want the 2013? Looks so much better. Still, a nice purchase.

We got a great deal on the V6 2012. Without the deal + getting the 2013 it would have added 7 grand to the cost.

Just saved $527 on textbooks thanks to Chegg.com.

Just saved $527 on textbooks thanks to Chegg.com.

Could have saved more by not buying/renting them at all. Most professors barely use them, and most of of your friends were dumb enough to buy them already, so borrow theirs. And the school library usually has a copy of every book. Or tell your teacher you're too broke to buy it and they'll let you borrow their sample copy from the publisher. And so on.

I worked for a used text book company for 4 years. If any of you are looking for advice on how to not get fucked over buying or selling your shit, ask away. The simplest answer is that you won't get the price by only sticking to one method/site. Chegg probably saved you some money on the initial price but you can't sell them back...

Is it in any way possible to sell them back for more than a few nickels and bubble gum?

That's really weird Top Gun because my total spent on books this semester was only 2 dollars more :p

If it's a new edition and in a subject that's worth something (science, math, and business books tend to resell higher because they update their editions more frequently.)

Do some research on your books before you commit to one. If the edition is a year or two old, it's going to update soon and you won't get shit for resale. If it's brand new, you're better off buying it outright to sell later than renting it (new price 120 with 50 resale = 70. chegg would usually rent that for 90) On a lot of them, the older editions are available on ebay for next to nothing and are usual just as good.

You also tend to get a better price at your own school's store rather than selling on ebay or to other textbook companies, if your school store isn't run by assholes.

I tend to wait until the last minute to see if I will need the books in the class. It just so happens that I will need the books for ALL my classes this time, so I caved-in and bought them. I went to community college for like a year and a half where I passed courses with out the books, but I'm going to a University now and don't want to risk getting a bad grade because I wouldn't buy the book. Also, my school store is in fact run by such people that will scam you. So, I'm not concerned with trying to sell the books, but having to only spend 200something dollars on a semesters worth of books is a steal in my opinion.

Thats why I like the fact all my profs are going with no books, and just posting snippets of books online
