Took a short visit to the Mountain this evening. I was in the park for an hour and a half (7:30 - 9 PM) and rode the following:

Scream
Batman
Apocalypse x8

Truly jealous that you live near SFMM with an annual pass. I can't imagine a better way to kill some time...

I played a piece of music called "The Mountain Whipoorwill" late last school year. Not a note longer than an eighth note in the second movement on my part (2nd clarinet). It is still my favorite piece of all time. It can be listened to on the composer's (Jess Langston Turner) website. I hope I hear another group playing it in the future as I like him better than all of of the "big name composers" nowadays (Ticheli, Mackey, Holsinger, etc.).

Took out the clarinet and played for the first time in about month and a half. Sounded better than I thought I would.

I'm going to East Coast Bash this weekend at BGW and KD. More importantly, it's thanks to my work travel schedule that I'm already in the area.

If Deep South Bash at SFOG had been scheduled for a week later, I probably could've made it there too.
