Ok so everyone knows Dreamport. The park isn't a conventional theme park in the way the game will accept it. I don't want the community to see people are stuck or unhappy flashing up when I want people to concentrate on ideas, themes and the atmosphere of what i've crafted. The park has several custom flats that people cannot ride. I also don't want the park to suffer because this is my view. People can happily click the open/close sign on my park if they want people in it but I'm going to release it without guests. Hopefully the community can appreciate what's on the map, how I want people to see it.
I know this is ironic that I'm producing this poll when I'm asking people to accept my view, but as I said I don't want the park to suffer. Surely it's the builders choice whether they want something in their creation or not?
Please discuss and vote. -

I understand where you're coming from, but it seems that most of the players are now capable of creating nice stuff, with a select few that can really create beauty. I think you fit into the latter but in my opinion, managing peeps is a whole other skill that only the best players have mastered. This is why I stand firm in saying the EPWS was the greatest park in NE history, because SF managed the peeps perfectly. So, while I respect your decision to release the park without peeps, I would be even more impressed if you managed to organize and satisfy them. -

I absolutely agree with everything walto said. I'm also of the school that peeps are essential to the livelihood of any park. It's part of what used to irk me with some of the older parks that had beautifully hacked rides that peeps couldn't access. I mean, they're what the game was intended for. I personally don't stress too much over unhappy or lost peeps (except in peep-clusters) when I check out a park, but I feel that peep-less parks just have a sort of deadness to them. Might as well shut down all the rides as well if there's no one there to enjoy them. -

Peeps are what make the game fun.
The best thing about the game is when you open a 9.00 excitement ride open and see 23454 guests going towards it. Cant beat that feeling. -

Peeps add life to the park, but as walto said, it takes much more skill, which you have though

i much prefer peeps, but i still admire architecture. ive thought about goin peepless but i have no drive to build without them in my park. i build for them. the reason i considered peeplessness was because objecs glitch badly when they walk round, so maybe no peeps has its benefits. -

I'm much more old school and I actually cannot stand parks with peeps. If you look back 4 or 5 years, no park had peeps, because we were playing to be immersed in the themes, which just doesn't seem to happen anymore. Sure, peeps make it more realistic, but I don't see the point in realism when if I want to see a real park I can actually go to one in real life. -

It's up to the parks what you want the feeling.
Some parks look good if they have peeps, some want a good-looked architectures so they want to remove everyone (except staffs).
In fact, I prefer the park with peeps. They make the park alive and I want to be a one of them. -

I always prefer peeps, if possible. But I don't think the lack of them subtracted from the feeling of e.g. Spellbrook Shore, or a park like Bijou Magique. I get a feeling from parks like these that they weren't intended to have peeps and to look good without them, and they give of a tranquil feeling that might get spoiled with lots of stupid peeps running around the place and getting stuck everywhere. That said, I agree with everyone who appreciates the skill it takes to make large parks peepable. I got my first taste of that when doing liseberg, during which I put in almost as much effort on making the guests find their way around the park and keeping them happy, as I did on the actual construction. And it's very pleasing when you get the whole thing to work and you can put 3 k peeps in without any complications. So, as walto said, as impressive I'm sure dreamport will be as it is, adding peeps might just give it an extra dimension. -

I disagree, I think they're a pain in the assPeeps are what make the game fun.
Way too much hacking and shit to get them in then they just make a mess
I don't enjoy the process of making a park peepable so I'm probably never gonna do it again
edit:Anyway to answer your question, I voted no, and I believe that if you create a good enough atmosphere you don't need peeps -

I never understood why all the peep business came along in the first place. As trav said, parks used to be no peeps and were still incredibly atmospheric.
All this talk about peeps adding to atmosphere is a load of bullshit.
It's totally up to the builder IMO, I prefer without, but I don't let my opinion on the matter affect my scoring in the panel. -

peeps make the building process that bit more bearable for me. they're in the park from the word go, nearly. -

Peeps are fun to watch, but they shouldn't have an impact on judging. I prefer to build without the peeps though, as they end up distracting me. -

This is all really awesome guys, I value all the opinions a lot. I've just come so far with a full park nearly packed to the brim with architecture and ideas and I just feel people will not add any more dimension than what is there. To be fair with ILMENITE and DJINN, I wanted to put them in as I wanted to make the design peep-freindly but I have a complete different view when looking at Dreamport. -

To be quite honest, if someone rates you down because of peeps being in the park, then they shouldn't be on the panel. There again, you could always release a version with peeps and one without. -
Wanted Offline
And to add to that point. If someone knocks a park because there are "peep jams" or the peeps are lost then they shouldnt be on the panel. Hmmmm -
trav Offline
^Actually I disagree with you there Wanted. If you set out to make a peep-friendly park, then you are doing that of your own accord, and so you are giving yourself another factor to be marked upon. If you do it badly, then you should be marked down for it. -

^Yes, agreed. Making it all work is an art in itself, and if someone decides to put peeps in but not bothers with them getting stuck, not finding rides and not making sure their needs are met, there's really no point. I'd compare it with putting a bad coaster that doesn't make the first hill in the park but deciding to keep it. Do it and do it right, or don't do it at all.
