Ever since I began playing RCT2, I have always wanted to recreate a real park. The idea seemed overwhelming because of how well I would need to know a park before building it in RCT. I had never spent enough time at any one park until last year when I began working at Elitch Gardens. This became sort of a summer project that was put on hold when I started Horsetooth, but over the winter break I've really felt inspiration to get back to building on this.
First three screens were in the fiesta.
Turn of the Century is one the world's only four original 1979 Vekoma Wave Swingers still in operation. It was moved from Elitch's old location when the park relocated to downtown Denver in 1995, but did not open until 1998.
Sidewinder is classic Arrow shuttle that originally opened in 1980 at Magic Springs before being moved, in 1990, to Elitch's original location. This was one of the first rides to open at the new location.
Hollywood & Vine is a Huss Breakdance that was also moved from the original park. It was previously known as "Paradise" and first built in 1987.
Shake, Rattle, & Roll was originally built at a park in Germany in 1990. It was moved to Elitch's in 1995. For 2010 it was repainted, but remained closed the entire season. Hopefully it will reopen this year.
Another Sidewinder screen. This was also repainted last year. The Spider ride down below was once located on top of the Bumper Cars' roof at the old Elitch Gardens. -

I love it. The grass beneath the spider is a great touch. My one issue is that the custom ride itself isn't that great looking and it feels a bit small right there. The rest is great, though. -

Is this a re-make of your old park? I have always wanted to do that with my old parks.
Back on topic, I like all of the screens. They have lots of color. I especially like the first two. -

Wow Sam! I'm really liking what you have so far! I really don't have anything else to comment on since I haven't been to the park since 2005. -

Elitch Gardens is an actual park, jag.
It all seems rather simple, Sam. Maybe post actual pictures along with your rct interpretations so we can really judge their accuracy? -

Very nice, but please change the flatride infront of the loop to a twist or something like that. The ride you used is not nice and the scale doesn't fit. The rest I really like! -

OM-actual-G. What is it with people stealing my ideas from my mind???
Looks good though, although now I feel I better get my butt into action and advertise mine -

Looks lovely, all of it. I'm really liking the custom top spin. I agree on that the spider looks a bit out of place, though. Maybe do as prod suggested and change it to a twist or something of similar style. -

That looks very accurate, all the rides look just like the Real deal and Shake, Rattle, & Roll look amazing. -

First off, thanks for the feedback guys! Another thing I forgot to mention earlier is this will not be a 100% recreation. There will be some changes to the ride lineup - most notably the SBNO rides gone and a substantial replacement for the recently removed Flying Coaster. Sling-shot will be in a different location than shown in the photos below as well as other changes necessary for a reasonable park layout translation into RCT2. Think of it as an alternate universe Elitch Gardens.
Robbie - Thanks man. I agree the scale of Spider is a bit small compared to real life, but for now, I wanted accuracy as opposed to a different ride.
Jag - This is not really a remake of my old park. I did start an Elitch's recreation many years ago, but it was shit and I gave up on it.
Djbrcace - The park has not changed drastically since then, so most of it should look familiar.
Nin - I posted several pictures below. I don't have many from appropriate angles to show direct comparison, but good idea. From now on I'll post real life pics to compare to what I'm building.
Prodigy - As I explained to Robbie, Spider is there to stay unless I remove it as part of the nearby replacement for Flying Coaster. Glad you like the rest.
Louis - Are you building Elitch Gardens too?
Splitvision - Thanks a lot. Yeah I feel the top spin is my best custom ride yet. As I said about Spider...it's there to stay for now.
Faas - Thanks!
Cuda - That's what I was going for. You can the judge for accuracy when I post T-bolt and Tilt for you man.
K0NG - LOL

Wasn't 75% of your old park nothing but trees.
Again, back on topic, I can't wait to see this. Recreations are extremely hard, and this could be the best (quality-wise) recreation if it is finished. -

^Wasn't 75% of your old park nothing but jagged rocks?
Most realistic parks use trees. It creates a good mood and provides shade and greenery to break up the sterility. -

No, I mean that when I opened up his first park, there was a huge amount of trees with noting else there. If you could find it for download, you will see what I mean. -

Jag, I never released the old park so you will not find the download. You must be talking about some other park but since you don't mention anything by name, I can only assume it's all in your head. -

Nevermind, I must have made a mistake. I remember some old Elitch Gardens download at RCTTown and I was confusing that with yours. I'm just being a crazy idiot again, sorry.
