General Chat / Hello

I have not been on this site in about four years. But I was thinking about how much fun I had playing this game with this community, so I came back here to see if anybody is still around. Does anyone still play this game anymore? Have there been any new updates or new versions of RCT? The last time I was here, everybody played RCT2 and the really cool people just stuck with RCTLL. But I think everyone started losing interest (including me) after RCT3 came out... such a different game. I have not played RCT since I was 17 so I have no idea how to download or buy it again or if it's even worth it. Do they still sell it in stores?

Anyway, sorry if this was weird. I had a lot of fun here a couple years ago and I hope this community stays alive for a long time.

Also, is there still Spotlight, Runners up, Designs, and H2H? Where is iris? Or does Kumba now take control?

Jacko, welcome back. Glad to see another "oldie" get his Jones for the game again and return to NE. The names have changed but the game remains the same. Except for the thousands of custom objects available for RCT2. And the accolades are now Spotlight/Gold/Silver/Bronze and Design. And, you get points for 'em now too that all accumulate in the "Player Rankings".
Iris isn't around and Kumba can barely control his bowels, so posix and geewhzz run the place now. If you can't find either RCTLL or RCT2 in the bargain bin at WalMart, you can find it real cheap online just about anywhere games are sold. And, the "cool people" still play LL although the majority of us lesser humans play RCT2. And worry not about being "weird"....Cena and FantastiCo have that covered.

Hey welcome back! I hope you find the game somewhere as it would be great to see you building again. Just take a look through the database at all the great parks that have been released, you'll sure be in for a good viewing. NE is far from dead and at it's strongest in the past few years imo.

No I don't own NE anymore and iris vanished a few years ago. geewhzz and posix own the site now and built this cool new NE4 version of it.

Of course I'm still around. As long as the Internet and this website are still around, then I will also still exist :-) It has just been ages since I've actually visited here and posted something.

But I'm glad not a whole lot has changed. I miss playing RCT... and this is coming from someone who never enjoys playing any other video games except RCT. I just need to go out and re-buy the game, get reacquainted with it.

Sorry for the H2H loss Kumba, but I think my work was just, you know, misunderstood greatness.
