Ring of fire (the drinking game) tops the list for me.

At Chalmers, the university I attend, I've been to some great parties. During the first month we had "nollning" (direct translation: zero-ing. There's a reason behind that name but that's another story) during which there was a party/event atleast every other day, some of them went on from early noon to late night. One of the parties were a "foam party" in which they had a machine in our own night club (it lies on the campus) that filled the whole dancefloor with foam. Incredibly fun, minus the pneumonia I almost got from it. We had loads of other parties with various themes aswell, like hippie, 80s, snob etc. Now, after the "nollning" has passed, they (various clubs/associations from various program sections) arrange parties of differing kinds on average 1-2 times per week. The best thing about parties here is that a large majority of the people attending them are from Chalmers, so the mood is always really good since so many know each other.

Why does everybody go for the cliche drinking games? I'm straightedge so I don't really see what's so cool about it anyway...

I think good music that sets a good vibe is essential to any party so everybody get a little "looser" without the use of excessive amounts of alcohol...

Because cliche drinking games are FUN

However music is great as well.

I've been to the usual college parties here, and of course college parties mean drinking and drinking games. I don't drink, but I always have a good time when i'm out with my friends. I'm also a DJ and have DJed a couple college parties, that's always fun! Oh yea, i've played Mario Party too.

I'm honestly not a partier. I'd rather go with three or four friends to some bars and have a couple of drinks while watching bands perform (New Orleans is great for jazz... ) or go to a club or something like that. I don't enjoy being drunk and thus don't drink a lot.

I live in Miami which is likely the clubbing/partying capitol of the world, yet I hate clubs. You can't hear the person next to you, people are smoking right next to you and there is a lot of pressure to drink. Just pointless imo and a horrible way to socialize. Bars are better, I like sports bars as long as they don't allow smoking which normally means their part of a restaurant. I went to one for my birthday and it was way better then a night club... oh and strip clubs are awesome as long as their not to crowded and the lap dances are inexpensive

i must have played 30 games of Mario Party over winter break and that game is still so goddamn fun

lol so I just DJ'd a French-American party at our house...probably the most fun I've had at a party

I used to party hard with alcohol, marijuana, meth, cocaine, LSD, various pills and a couple times, heroin.

Now I go to church parties where we pray and have orange drink.
