My archy is not up to par, it looks rather elementary and I think I need a broken down basis on how ppl build their buildings...
Are there any topics on here that show you the basis of creating realistic buildings in your park? Like a step by step guide? If so, attach a link here, if not, what website can I look on? -

My best guess is check google for examples of theme parks and how they design their buildings and such, I work with photos most of the time to get a feel of how the buildings work, once I get how the style work I start applying it in my own way... -

Start off with a simple shape.
Add depth.
Layers of detail.
Anything you can do to add more shape.
Balconies. Changes in roofs and stuff.
Explore texture and don't be afraid to use diagonals!
Psst yocoaster btw if you want updates on our duo just go to themeparkreview.com/forum
search for lone star gardens. -

If you are looking for information about how to make your buildings look better, my best advice is to download some of the parks listed on this site as Gold or Spotlight winners. Open those parks on your computer (sometimes you have to try it a few times before they will open properly since they add new pieces to your game)and look at what you find interesting. Click around on the buildings (take pieces off of them) and see what was used to make them. Look at what pieces they have in their Scenery tabs. When I was first starting out, it became instantly clear that the pieces the game comes with are just the surface of what is actually available. It is the use of custom pieces that really makes buildings stand out IMHO.
All that being said, all the cool pieces in the world won't help if you don't know some of the basic building concepts i.e. how to manipulate whatever pieces you have available. For that, I'd recommend these links...
