Hey dude, check that PM I sent you. I think you have a nice start but there are some great tips in that email I sent around (it also tells you how to upload screens onto the forums). From your screens I think you need to start playing around with some custom supports and working slightly harder on your coasters to either theme them to an amazing standard or create layouts that represents real life parks.
Good to see another new Brit playing the game, we have some guys to watch out for. -

You say that you have played rct for over a decade? I can only give you feedback of my own opinion but i dont think its good. im sorry but the track layouts are unrealistic and ugly and your architectual skills are just as bad. my advice for you is to do what i do and google images of real tracks and real architecture and get insparation and influence to build better. another bit of advice is to get a bench with 1k scenery and quater blocks wich you can find on this site. once again sorry for the negative feedback but from this you can only get better. good luck -

The coaster in the 2nd screen is SWEET!!!! But while your game sense for what the peeps will put up with is spectacular your sense of style seems very lacking. I recommend viewing some of the highly reputed Spotlights, Gold parks, and contest winners on the main site for some general ideas. Coasters should have station buildings, for example. And stalls should be contained in some kind of architecture as well. Gardens should be arranged with care rather than just splashed in because there's space.
You can make crazier coaster layouts work if you can fit visuals to them and it's been a while since we've had a base of members pushing the 'fantasy' style of parkmaking about. Maybe check out some stuff by Evil WME and Mala to get some ideas of where you can go with this style while still making it look good.

The good thing is everyone has to start from somewhere. With your next release you will start to realise you're getting better and in no time you'll have great parks that you're proud of. Just push to get better and better! -

I've played the game on and off for over ten years... I've not been making 'show parks' for that long, this is my first
You say that my track layouts are unrealistic... Could you give an example of something about them that you think is wrong?
And you don't need to say sorry for giving your opinion, it's what I asked for and I'll never get any better at parkmaking if you don't tell me when my park looks terrible -

Great attitude! Keep building and get some custom items in your park and your theming will come on a lot. -

buar - good attitude and welcome to the site!
An example I think is that all the track is too cramped together, for example let's go with the invert in the 3rd screen (I'm guessing this is nemesis inspired?!) Nemesis has gaps between the track, and has other things going for it like path interaction, red blood rivers, loops next to the queue lines, queue line under parts of the track, station resembling a monster, more than one trench, a lift hill hugging the grass slope etc. Whereas your coaster is a little featureless as it just meanders around in a hole for a bit! Although it does have one cool feature with the station underpass - more like this!!
Try and pack as many ideas in there as possible. One of the difficulties in building stuff in this game is that you have to be constantly thinking about ride design, pathing, themeing, architecture, landscaping, foliage, all at the same time. I usually put track layouts in first too, but all the time I'm thinking, how am I going to get guests to want to go on this ride? How will they see it from the rest of the park? How will they get excited when queueing? How will they get excited at the top of the lift hill?
Presumably JK put this in his msg, but walls should go on the inside, you should colour land differently inside buildings, maybe underneath paths too, water should be a level lower than the ground so it doesn't look like flooding...
And just when it can't get much more complicated let me throw in the classic line that all these rules are meant to be broken! If the created effect is worthwhile enough. -

Haha reminds me of the days when I first discovered trainers in LL, good times.
My advice would be: take your time designing coasters. Its hard to give a quick and easy answer to this... I guess some pointers will suffice:
- Plan your coasters ahead of time. Not necessarily each turn/drop, but have an idea in your head of what you want to achieve with that ride.
- Give yourself plenty of room to work with.
- Don't be afraid to have 'plain' pieces of track (ie a straight). There will always be sections of a ride where keeping a good speed is more important than putting in a 'filler' hill or element.
- On the taller/faster rides, it usually advisable to make the ride look smooth, no awkward twists or drops. On SOME rides this is desirable, but mostly no.
- Picture your self riding the coaster. You dont want to give yourself whiplash and you don't want to feel like your simply going through the motions. You want things to be exciting yet smooth, and lots and lots of unexpected thrills. Think Nemesis - its WHAM WHAM WHAM and you never see any of them coming.
Anyway, good luck. -

Also just noticed one of my pet peeves from when I actually 'play' the game as its meant to. You're queue for the boat ride is rather long, do you really want people queueing for that long for such a boring ride? Cull the queue line, and make it appealing for those stuck in it! Give em some nice flowers to look at or something.
This message contains an important lesson in immersion that will take you further than the actual advice I gave you. -

When I actually 'play' the game, that's exactly what I want, I looooooove long queues <3

I thought some of your coasters were a bit small and the layouts were kind of random in places. try using more space but at the same time keeping the layout quite compact.
Check out my Batman coaster. its still very unfinished scenery wise im playing around with different supports atm. ex rating is 9.58, intencity rating is 9.14, with nausea 5. atm without this undecided scenery. must be able to get this 6 inversioned florless to ex rating 10+ -

Heh whilst its good for coasters, most other rides have poor throughput. I find peeps get bored and it drags the park rating down. Also, whilst their stood there doing nothing, they're not walking around spending money in my shops. -

It's funny how big mine is which is proven with the following self admitted statement, "FantastiCo's got a baby pp."
I bet you're a member of the NRA, drive a hummer, lift weights and enjoy the shower after basketball with the guys.
Now, back on topic. -

I dont know why you're making assumptions about my personal life, but FYI...
I dont know what the NRA is, I drive a beemer, I do lift weights, I do have group showers after games of football, it can be quite funny and banterful.
If you are genuinely interested in my life then by all means drop me a PM and I can send you a link to my Facebook profile. I will have to do some screening first though as I dont want shady characterslooking at my personal stuff.

Well you're no fun...
All in which I listed are things guys do to overcompensate for a teeny-tiny wing-wang-ding-a-ling. Including naming themselves "Dixinormous".
