There's nothing wrong with a hacked coaster, and ive seen some damn good ones, but the one in Horstmann could have been designed better. -

I voted for Elfwood and you know why, but I'd like to make the case for both parks anyway.
Elfwood
People say 'oh boring....same old same old' without actually looking. The architecture, while using the browns that people seem to hate, has pretty funky structure and shape - nowhere near the simplicity of Schuessler but less complicated than, say, Fatha', but with its own style. Sure, it's brown, it's got lots of path and overhangs, but it's still GOOD. It's pretty impossible to compare this with the architecture in HL, but I'll get to that later. The coaster is a neat, accomplished giga, with what I consider to be a very crafty layout and judicious use of custom supports. No cliched turnaround or meandering helixes - this coaster is smooth and graceful but still packs a punch. An excellently themed 3D Cinema adds to the park immensely - surrounded by well landscaped water and rocks and merging into the surrounding building with ease. The water use in the park is excellent and I think the entrance is very well done. Not a boring park in the slightest, if you ask me.
Horstmann Laboratories
People react to this park immediately - it has the 'wow' factor. But once you've seen the obvious things, is there much left? The coaster is fantastic, realistic or not. The MA hack (obvious really) is used to full advantage and the interaction with buildings is excellent. I like the use of height (high buildings are always good) and the lava is interesting. However, the architecture, by Laboratory definition, is simple and loses a little in detail. However, it is still highly skilled, and I applaud the park on its creativity.
I'm not going to say which I liked best because I can't (if I said Elfwood people would scoff, if I said Labs i'd be going against my team). I just ask that people look at each park closely, rather than making a snap judgement. -

Hey butterfinger, you miscalculated. the scores should be 62 to 68. Labs still win, but by a smaller margin. Thougt you'd like to know.
Haven't been abe to download them yet myself. I'll vote later. -

labs get my vote SO much more than snorewood, its not even funny =P
If someone EVER says "to hell with creativity" again, i will MAIM them, and then feed their innards to rabid dogs and put their eyes in a basket and mail them to their parents, "express" style.

I looked at Elfwood...
"Hmmm.... the shuttle loop is ugly, but I like the feel of the park"
Then I saw the hyper. The same fucking hyper that's been in every park that's tried to imitate Nevis's style. They all look the same. They all Have the same hills built the exact same way with the same helixes and same damned supports.
Final Comments: Nice look, shitty coasters. And by the way, the vertical 'quick-slope' should be used for cresting hills, only. That could kill someone in real life.
Enough o' dat.
Opened up the lab.
Nifty. Nice Power Tower-Esque design.
The Luge was nifty.... but those 180` transistions kinda ruined it... but still, it's not a shitty luge, so it gets the Official Adix Stamp Of Approval.
Yeah, the lab got my vote. Why? Cause it doesn't have another hyper that looks the same as every other frigging "Intamin" Hyper out there.
There are 4 different designs of Intamin Airtime machines in RCT, and NeViS made them all. Everyone just fricking clones them. (Not to be taken completely literally) -

Both of the parks are good.
But neither of them is great.
My vote goes to the Pufferfish just because I felt it was more original. -

LOL, I didnt like the labs, the coaster was, well, to insane. Elfwood was alot nicer and the atmosphere was there, I got nothing from the labs. And just in general the colors of ElfWood were nicer, the labs made me sick. But I must say, the boldness of the orange water was quite something. -
