As for your "too many supports" question, You have to take into account that the lift on your re-creation is probably shorter in scale than the actual Montu lift. As are other sections which have been brought up in this topic already. Which I think happens a lot when you're trying to nail the height of the lift and other elements of a real coaster in RCT. Therefore, it will look cluttered with the exact same amount of supports. It's the whole "limitations of RCT" thing. Sacrificing exact details a little bit here and there for aesthetics. And I think Louis pretty much nailed the support spacing there. -

Or use Phatage's catwalks.
No, those catwalks are out of date and very glitchy.
NUTS!
I just redid the supports on the lift hill to use 8 supports. (Not ten.) And you guys want seven? Honestly, eight doesn't look that much better, so I wonder if seven is going to make that much of an overall improvement?
A bit of good news, I was able to delete a few unused objects and freed up eight more slots. So I'm looking for a good catwalk for an inverted coaster.
But I tend to agree with jaguarkid140, Phatage's catwalks are glitchy. -

Or, make a custom one using a combination of track? Some simply use a wooden while others tend to use a wooden track with a mini coaster lowered on top (or some other combination, it doesn't look bad if done right). Just check out some parks/designs featuring large inverts (El Encierro, BGNA, etc.) to see how it's done. -

Well, the only reason I use Phatage catwalks is because I don't know how tu zero clearances. Is there like a button you click? -

yeah, just be careful, glitches can be made if used incorrectly, and it is annoying to remove ghost scenery. -

Mostly, it has to do with the version of 8cars that you're using. I use 1.31. And I haven't had ghosts, or flickering scenery since I changed to 1.31. The other one was 1.20, and that didn't get along well with the game I have. I think it was K0NG that told me about trying different versions and seeing how the different features work out.
For instance, when I try to make the tracks invisible, by selecting Crooked House as the operation for the track... It gives me an error trapper. But I'll bet that 1.20 will give me the invisible track if I give it a try.
As far as the glitchy stuff on the catwalks? I just lowered the catwalk objects a notch so the trains don't overlap the object and start blinking. Sure the catwalks are a bit further, but the stuff don't blink.
Anyway, for those of you who may have your doubts that I made an eight support lift hill... Let me introduce you to my mess.
Here I'm redoing the project for a seven support lift. I hadn't gotten as far as the short one yet in this image. Since the catwalk was lowered, I had run into the height clearance for the queue. So I had to lower the queue into the ground a bit to allow the catwalk to build overhead.
And the final image after I cleaned it all up...
Louis, Lookie! I took your suggestion! Check the temperature in hell. It has to be frozen over. -

Only thing is, you're gonna have to hire Shaq as mechanic for that just to be able to reach the trains. -

Just use wooden coaster track for the catwalks, problem solved completely.
The supports look a lot better now and are way more accurate too, I believe Montu only has 7 supports, the lift is split into 5 sections, with the loop being parallel to the 3rd, which is what you have here, so yeah, great job. -

I might try using Louis's idea of using a woodie hill.Just use wooden coaster track for the catwalks, problem solved completely. >EDIT<
I think that there should be plenty of clearance for the supports I installed for the existing catwalk. So I might not have to escavate the area to reposition them. At the very closest, they were glitchy. The trains "strobed". The next notch down, still glitchy. Second notch down and the trains didn't glitch. So there's a couple levels of clearance between the track and the supports for the catwalk.
The good news? I can take these objects outta the bench and free up two more slots for more junk. Speaking of which, I don't want to pressure you K_W K0NG, but you said that you were going to edit a few objects for me? A few 1/4 tile roof objects and a colorable school bus?Just a gentle enquiry. Thanx! -

Ok, still not excactly clear on the catwalks. Zero the clearances, take the 4D coaster or wooden coaster, place it under or in the track*4D with lift toggled*, and go all the way up the lift hill and all the way across the brake run? -

To a certain extent, catwalks will *always* glitch. You're within the clearances of the track, so the game gets confused as to which image is drawn on top. That said, using track for the catwalk will glitch less than scenery.
IMPORTANT NOTE: when you hack a catwalk on using track, start at the top of the lift, building down, not up. The two tracks have to be going in opposite directions or there will be serious glitches.

If you are going for realism/accuracy, the catwalk/train glitch is just something you will need to deal with. As others have said, use the wooden coaster.
