Just can't be super easy since google maps does not seem to have the panoramic pics from there, maybe google earth does?
Bing Maps is usually way better with aerials and bird's eye view stuff. Not sure about Google Earth though, probably better than Google Maps, anyway.
It is starting to come together. Only two things I'm not keen on: the object for the station roof and the path. The station roof looks unnatural in the game because it doesn't have any texture to it. And the path is the opposite, having too much texture. -

Bing has old images. Python is still there. But a few different POVs are a welcome change. Road Map view is like looking at a road map, GE puts little cameras to click on that takes you to ground level.
Although, in the case of Busch Gardens, I noticed that the two 360 shots that are in front of "Treasures of King Tut's Tomb", are actually shots of the parking lot. (Which is why I'm taking a wild stab at what the entrance looks like.)
GE lets you have a finer control over the zoom feature. So you can fill the window with what you want. Even rotate to fit. Bing is either too close, or too far.
Google reloads the areas that you scroll off the map pretty fast. Bing only reloads the map when an unrendered area is more than 50% of the viewing area. Even then, it's a whole different view.
But we'll see what Bing Maps 3D has in store.
<EDIT>
Not much. Takes way too many clicks to home in on an area. Pics are blurry until you're at level 1. I didn't see anything in 3D. -

Lets not get off topic.
A few more screens before I go to bed.
Headless Pharoh photo-Op.
Games people play. Well, I don't know about that. Not too many shooting galleries use cannons as the weapon of choice.
A bit more detail added to the maintenance area behid Montu. I didn't notice this until it dawned on me, well, they GOTTA drive a vehicle back there once in a while.
Yeah Brain, diagonal walls WOULD be nice, but where is an RCT shop that's open at this hour?

Actually, there are a number of diagonal 1/4 tile walls available. Try checking out aerials of some recent accolades, find which ones contain the pieces and download a few. You'll pick up a good amount of more recent objects that should come in handy. -

I tried that, just now actually. And a LOT of the DLs have gone missing. (Page not found.) Out of the gold and bronze alone, I haven't got a half dozen DLs. Somebodys asleep at the wheel.
What I did find was that a lot of the walls that look like diagonals, are actually a stack of triangular building blocks, with the angled side facing out. I was going, "Oh great. My diagonal walls are going to be super fat and chunky. Because I would have to set a number of them, altering directions.
Then I remembered the art deco blocks. One looks like a triangle with the point lopped off. Then there's one that's just the point.
For a wall, without a roof, it's about the best I can do right from my own collection. Tough luck with the downloads though. I could of probably used some of it this park. Not that it actually matters, (not much room for objects.) But thanks for the idea. One thing lead to another and it seems to have worked out.
I have one amazingly large structure that needs to be built. The Crown Colony Restaurant is a HUGE sit down restaurant, to the left just before you enter the Egyptian area. It actually has the best food in the park.
Let's get the boring part over with. This is a gate to the maintenance area behind the Crown Colony Resteraunt...
Ackbar's Adventure Tours lives once again... with the help of his many much stronger brothers...
new NEW NEW! I like the basket ball game... because you can win plushie peeps!
The much talked about diagonal wall. Stop me if I'm boring you.
First floor of the Crown Colony Resteraunt.
The two towers of the same resteraunt...
More to come. -

The more I look at this, the more I have to agree with John that the awning pieces you're using for roofing have too little texture and the paths have WAY too much. The paths...almost to the point that it's a distraction because it seems to clash with just about everything. Just thought I'd second that opinion before you're too far in to consider any changes. -

Thing is, outside of the crazy path texture, THAT'S pretty much what the midway at Busch Gardens actually looks like. (And to think parents take their little kids, put them in rented strollers and wagons, and shake 'em up all day, rolling over the stuff.) No wonder their screaming brats by the end of the day.
The parents, not the kids.
I could go with the crazy path. It's not as colorful. Because I was actually thinking the exact same thing. As for the roofs... Well, generally, MOST of the "cover" in the Egypt area IS canvas awnings, (even part of Montu's queue is in a tent.)
The other thing used extensively is steel roofing. The kind that has a ribs running down the incline. (Not that corrigated stuff.) In fact, it's use here in Florida is fairly extensive. It's all over the place. Seriously.
But you bring up valid points. I'll search for alternatives. I hope I can find it in two differnt inclines. Because most of the roofing has two angles to the roofing. It's sort of a design element that runs thoughout the park. -

Wait, they really have a half court shot game?! If so I must have just not noticed. Sometimes in a few hours of basketball I can hit 10+ from half court, id clean-up on one of those games -

^ Except that the rims, like those at any carnival/fair are oblong and only about 1" deeper than the diameter of the ball. They LOOK like normal rims (regulation width) but it's extremely difficult to sink those fuckers.
@Wolfman....there are these roof pieces:
Unfortunately, I've only seen the one shown and the outside corner piece. They're colorable and...I'm debating making a whole set (including the steeper angle) since I really like these. If anyone else knows of the existence of more than just the two (they're both named "Dach-(Bretter)") please post/upload them ASAP before I decide to undertake making them. Damn, my OE 'to-do' list is beginning to look overwhelming again -

As for the games:
They do have a Half Court game. About as much as they would have a game that fires cannon balls at an animatronic spider, ghosts, gongs and targets. I made up the games, because the games they got I couldn't duplicate in RCT. But these look a lot more fun than a dime toss or whatever.
Remember how flexible RCT is guys. It's in the "not very" catagory. To rip off a line from Futurama, "You gotta do what you gotta do."
Yes Kong. That was the very roof tile object I was thinking of. And I really can't remember if I have all three varieties, or not. I'll have to look.
<went to look>
I have all three, in 1/4 tile. And I have two different sets. (I'm sure that it's just renamed BS & junk.) But I'm sure you want one that has the same DAT code as your others... Or just replace what you got with a set I'll send you. I'll send you both.
I also have a few full tile sets, one with what looks like marble walls, and one with brick, (colorables all of them.)
I'll send them for no money down and no payments forever. PM me with an address I can send them to. (Hope you can open RAR files.) -

Progress has been slow. And I didn't want to post too many updates on structures. The parking lot that I started last week didn't get saved. (A lot of work for nuthin'.) so I started to work on the largest structure in the park. The Crown Colony House Resteraunt. SOME roof elements could not be duplicated in RCT. These are construction images, taken over time, and some may be out of cronological order. I am already aware of this.
McKinley Ave. and Busch Blvart intersection. My first attempt at making a highway intersection. I could of used the painted lines, but I just don't have the available slots to include them in this bench.
I know that I'm not the world's greatest advocate for the creation of parking lots. So don't expect a parking lot every time I buld a park. I actually think that parking lots in RCT is a waste of space.
I wanted to put a couple Go Kart tracks and make them invisible, so that there would be go carts running through the parking lot. But when I tried to use the Crooked house setting for the rides, the track didn't turn invisible. I tried to do this in a different saved game version. So you won't see the go kart tracks here.
Actually, this whole parking lot I have here is supposed to be all handycapped parking. I didn't want anyone to think that the parking lot at BGT is all handycapped only. (There is a much larger parking area that's for regular parking.) But they just decided to make tho old original parking lot entirely handycapped parking. The new lot is on the far side of McKinley Ave.
I took the Klydesdales barn and relocated it and it now serves as the entrance gate to the area.
The Crown Colony House Resteraunt. Construction is coming along.
There comes a point that when you're working out the details and finally hit on the right combination, that you just run out of steam. Besides, the fact that I can't get a clear arial shot from Bing or Google that shows this end of the structure. Should I wing it?
Theres this side deck addition and it has a ramp that spans overhead. And a ramp from the second floor. And a ramp down to the ground. And in the photos, it looks really bad. In RCT, it doesn't help matters any. But it's in the real park, so here it is.
There is an extra parcel of green land where things just didn't measure out right, between the Egyptian area and the real world parking lot. To the right of the H-shaped building of Akbar's Adventure Tours, and below the large purple awning over Shifting Sands. It has a diagonal gray footpath, and part of a wall sticking out into it.
On the Egyptian side, I have yet to add a few more shops in a somewhat hidden area of the park. I could rework the area to extend the parking lot a bit more, but there will still be a rather large area that will have nothing. I am also waiting for some parts to be made so I can do something about the steel roofs and they won't look so blank.
Hope you liked this update and I want to hear comments & suggestions. -

^ From the overhead it looks like the restaurant is almost as tall as the immelman on Montu. Are you going by actual building height? -

you do all know that there is 60 and 25 degree track right? there is no 45 degree track slope. so technically, the steep slope is closer to 45 (forgetting looks).
Well, if you notice, diagonal track isn't as steep as straight track, so a diagonal slopes could be helpful for things such as chainlifts. -
RMM Offline
I'm pretty sure it's the isometric view that makes it seem 45 degrees. there are two slopes in the diagonal track so they have to be 25 and 60 degrees. -

but each section of track goes up or down 5 feet and the straight track takes up one tile, but the diagonal track takes up 2 spaces, yet is still the same altitude.
