Well, I just bought the March edition of Q magasine, and it gave the following ratings:
Elephant by the White Stripes ****
Statues by Moloko ****
The Cardigans' new album with the long name ***
Which bodes well. Although they said Gran Turismo was trash, which I do NOT agree with. -

I am now looking forward to:

Isn’t it cool that I can change somebody’s music tastes like that, from Techno to Extreme Metal, that’s cool very cool. Did you listen to The Berzerker when I gave you that link by the way? I said it has an influence of Techno, you will like it a lot. -

Yes, wonderful, now do me! Or don't. I like both 'techno' and 'Extreme Metal', aren't I odd?Isn’t it cool that I can change somebody’s music tastes like that, from Techno to Extreme Metal.
But, it must be said that niether are at the top of my musical tastes, presently. I'm becomming a yuppie, psuedo-intellectual type, and frankly, it is quite enjoyable. Stupid borders... go into to get a 1.99 jazz compilation, and walk out a hip, coffee-drinking lunatic.
Yet, the jazz compilation was worth it. Go purchase it, now (by 'it' I mean Blue Series.Essentials, a CD issued by Thirsty Ear recordings, exclusive to Borders, and a great value at only $1.99 US)! It's got jazz for every taste, except bad taste (Kenny G, Nora Jones, etc).
Whatever. I just read what QOSTA said about the Cure, somebody go shoot Robert Smiths kitty or something! We need him nice and depressed so they don't turn out a lump of shit. We need another Faith, Seventeen Seconds, Pornography, Disentigration, Blood Flowers, etc, not some silly little 'alternaive pop' hunk of bull.
Don't you just love late night ramblings? Don't you just love my new (optical) mouse? It's got a built in laser gun... be afraid! Very afraid! -

Anyways, Kraftwerk is releasing a new album this year. So for all you children of the 80's (or just those who wish you were) rejoice, the godfathers synthpop are still alive and kicking!
Or, so my local goth show said during it's news segments. -

What are you talking about? While I'll gladly admit that most of the more mainstream synth pop is horrid, and the modern stuff is even worse (Cruxshadows, anyone?), there was a lot of good to come from synthpop as well.Kraftwork need to burn for all the damage synthpop has done to humanity.
This continues to go along with my constant arguement: there's no such thing as bad musical styles, just bad bands playing those styles. And my other arguement that mainstream radio, and John Hughes as well, sucks ass. -

Yay! New Kraftwerk could be very very interesting indeed.
BTW - Adding to my list:
Cuica - City to City (acid-jazz / breakbeat / world electronica - really great stuff, album is out in the US now).
Bob Holroyd - (new album, don't remember the name) (Peter Gabriel meets Future Sound of London, good stuff, also available in the US now). -
