So for those of you who know what I'm talking about...the new 360 was announced at e3 last week. I've been looking at purchasing it using gamestop's trade in which allows you to trade in old controllers/your system. My question, is anyone getting it, know someone who somehow gloriously got it...etc?
Trying to make a decision on whether or not it is worth it.. -

Just curious, how much is it with the trade-in? I have a 360 Elite, which isn't much more special than the regular one, but I see no reason to get a new one at this point. Also, judging from the new model I assume we will never see Blu-ray on the XBox? -

Some of the upgrades seem useful (Wi-Fi built in, more than 3 USB ports) but on the whole I'd say no.
Apparently the Slims have even more trouble with overheating than the original 360.

i don't see a point in getting it. its essentially just a new look, right? maybe a few more frilly luxuries but nothing i'd be missing out on for the most part
i just bought my 250 gb MW2 edition 360 in the fall, don't want to get rid of it yet lol -

I'm going to purposely get the red ring of death because costco gives full refunds on Xbox 360s. -

Really on the overheating...I thought that was part of the point with this new chipset and different fans and all that..
I think the major thing was the wifi and the quiet running...So basically if you've already bought the adapter for wireless and all the other shit it wouldn't be worth it...it does look kind of cool though...and my 60 gb does only have 40 gig left.... -

oh noes, i've only used 1/3 of my HD after x many years!
i used a 20 gb HD for 4 years. i upgraded in the fall to a 250 gb; doing the math tells me i'll last another 48 years or so with this HD (although the Xbox itself won't lol). -

My current Xbox is on the verge of dying so I will be getting one. Its a good deal if you need a new one IMO. -

I picked mine up last Friday (first shipment to arrive, second of three that came in). Extremely quiet compared to the originals, and loads games quicker too. Love how the wifi is "built-in" now so that saves $100. Also, the HD size is a nice upgrade too. Haven't had any problems at all with overheating whatsoever so far.
