Turtle as I said the good players show what they're made of when things like this happen. It seems like it's instilled in us oldies how to finish a park and give a good bit of competition. -

Round 3:
Welcome to Round 3 of Quest for the Best - Unofficial, the quarter-finals. You all should know by now what happened with the last round, but if you don't the bracket looks like the above. This round will also feature two 3-way matches, both in the Southern brackets.
So, a quick run-down. As you can see their are still 4 brackets each now with 1 game to be played. Round 2 was themes, so Round 3 is back to coasters, however this time realistically designed.
Each Bracket will be given a wooden coaster manufacturer. You must then design a rollercoaster based around this manufacturer taking realism into account.
As we have moved further into the competition, with harder targets, an extra week has been added to the deadline. I will be away from 1st August to 11th August, so any questions that need to be asked urgently, please ask either Airtime or SSSammy, who will then be able to contact me via text.
Please check below what guideline your match-up will face. Voting will be based on the overall package, not just the coaster.
Round 3 guidelines are as follows:
North West:
Intamin AG (Prefabricated Track):
IN:CITIES v FK+COASTERMIND
North East:
Great Coasters International, Inc:
TURTLE v SSSAMMY
South West:
The Gravity Group, LLC:
RCTCA v LOOPY v TOLSIMIR
South East:
Custom Coasters International, Inc:
WANTED v AIRTIME v NOKIA
ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SENT IN TO QFTBunofficial@gmail.com BY SUNDAY 22ND AUGUST 00:01 [GMT]
If you are unsure about your guideline, any urgent questions should be directed to Airtime or SSSammy who will then be able to contact me. Good luck! -

gravity group and cci are the same team of design engineers... without Charles Dinn's daughter in charge. -

^Actually when CCI went bankrupt some of the team went to S&S whilst some formed the Gravity Group.
However Gravity Group and CCI's are both different manufacturers and both make/made different styles of coaster. -

Fuck, realism? Now I'm really depressed that my 1st round entry wasn't received. On that note...I have expanded that project quite a bit and started a topic for it in the AD. -

i think louis is being a bit dramatic there. i think if you get together a realistic looking coaster no one will mind what you put in the rest. just turn in something you're confident with rather than something that will fulfill the requirements. after all, we're all here to see some awesome rct, and your rct is as awesome as it comes.Fuck, realism? This will be difficult!

yeah just build a coaster with the manufacturer in mind. the whole setting doesnt need to be realistic. -

Just build a coaster and change the cars. It's not like you'll get disqualified if you're style isn't too accurate... -

having just been to Six Flags Great Adventure and riding El Toro a number of times has given me so much inspiration for this!
