I really would have liked to be in this round no matter what the song title is seeing as my entry blew Dirt's out of the fucking atmosphere. But, for some reason that's still unclear to me, he won by forfeit.

I dont know how this happened, but there isnt any point of being bitter against us (not that you are), as we can't change what happened, we had no idea you had tried to send us an entry, and with no entry in our inbox there isnt anything we can do.

It's not just about a city. Interpret the theme how you like, there are multiple things to go on here, don't forget that it's Fairytale of New York.

Probably. I will twist the fuck out of the guideline but I don't see me doing well this round. Louis! is purposely trying to test me, I know it.

I'm not purposefully doing it This is all about being the best though, and with the next round being a realism based round I thought it would be best to have some more extravagent themes this time round.

while i understand the testing quality of the themes, they are all kinda hard to jam into two weeks. I'm not complaining, just saying, building new york, something under the ocean, or deciphering living at the end of time, in two weeks, is a difficult ask

Well, fuck. I sent it just before midnight on the 3rd, saw visual confirmation that my mail had been sent and left less than two hours later for a trip. After returning and seeing the 'forfeit' I checked my inbox for any sign of a failure to deliver and saw nothing indicating that it hadn't gone through. The thing that's bothering me is that since I'd posted that I'd sent it, I was surprised to go through the forums, PM, email etc. looking for something from you saying that, for some reason it hadn't been received and found nothing. Since I was away, I wouldn't have been able to do anything about it anyway but I found it odd that there was nothing from anyone indicating that it hadn't been received. The thing I'm most annoyed with is that my entry looks like it was probably the class of the round and after all the work I put into it, I not only lost the round but am out of the contest entirely now. I mean, seriously, after H2H5...did you really think I'd forfeit?

There's obviously nothing that can be done now so I guess I'll just vent all my anger into building up what wasn't quite finished on it and send it in for my first NE accolade. But I'm still pissed. Trust me.

I was contemplating whether to PM those that hadnt sent in an entry, but then I decided against it as we were confiriming when we had recieved them. In hindsight it would have been better if I had PM'ed people.

What you're failing to realize here is how important this was to me. After H2H5, I had something to fucking prove and I went all out to do just that. Which you'll see when it's released as an accolade. I'd been waiting an entire year for this opportunity. I wasn't planning on winning the 1st round against Dirt....I was planning on DOMINATING the entire contest to show the fucking NE world that hasn't let me forget H2H5 just what the fuck K0NG is all about. Now, because of some glitch...I'm out in the 1st round. I'm not blaming anyone but....to find out that after I'd posted that my entry was sent that there was no effort made to clarify why it wasn't received kinda pisses me off. Again, I was out of town and I couldn't have done anything about it but just knowing that there was no effort made is unconscionable to me. Then , to top it all off, I come back to see that fucking retard Wolffuck calling me out for 'corrupting' some fucking file that I barely touched a year ago. Sorry if I'm coming across as bitter here, even if I AM....but if I don't get this shit out of my system right now I'm gonna pop. Especially knowing that I have to sit and watch the rest of this contest from the fucking sideline.

On the positive side.....this has absolutely given me the motivation that I've been lacking for months now...well, the contest itself initially did that, this just turned it up to 11.

Dude, you have NO idea what I've felt since the end of H2H5. This was important to me and I somehow got fucked right on out of it. And...while we're at it, breathe a sigh of relief that I'm out. I was on a mission that NONE of you could have deterred. And, c'mon Steve...you and I both know that it's more than just a game.

And yeah...NOW I'm anxiously awaiting the next NE contest. The rest of you had better be at your best whenever that happens because, like I said, I'm motivated like NO other right now.

BTW...not sure just yet whether I'll start a topic in the AD for "THE ISLAND OF DR.VON K0NGENSTEIN" or not. It's not like I'd be giving away anything to my competition any longer. But, I'm kinda of into surprising people too.

And Louis and nin...I'm not pissed at you guys, even IF you'd have said something...I wasn't around anyway to fix anything. I'm just pissed that whatever went awry went awry.

Round 2 entrants please take note. Up to 3 objects that currently arent in any of the provided benches may be added to your workbenches. This is to allow for oversights when making these benches. So yeah, you are allowed to have 3 objects in your entry that werent originally provided in the 3 official benches.

k0ng, listen to what liampie said. with the rankings, we have made it so that people who desperately want competition can have it. you seem to be very fit for this to my impression. and contests always will have a deadline. you just don't have a healthy history with those, so if i were you i wouldn't go there again but instead just build my park, win high points, make your way to the top of the rankings and be happy.

And posix, that 'history' is a big part of why I'm (was) so upset about this whole thing. I'll never live down the H2H5 thing but, this was going to be a start of some sort of redemption. And, like I think I've mentioned, I'm expanding this a bit and submitting for accolade....I might even start a thread for it depending on how much I decide to expand and how much longer I plan on working on it.
