I would like to say sorry to everyone who was on the reserve list since I didn't turn in an entry. However I'm staying positive and will say you will see her on the front of NE since I love the design too much to let it go to waste.

It's a shame though since I basically wasted a week trying to hack a coaster to my likings only to completely redo the design the following week. That bothers me a lot.

So yeah, once again sorry to the reserve list and I hope you go all the way Sammy

Round 2:

Welcome to Round 2 of Quest for the Best - Unofficial. Hopefully you've now all checked the results from the Round 1 voting, if not nevermind as you can find out above anyway.

Before we start Wanted asked me whether he could change the game format he signed up to use, after a long thought, we've decided that unfortunately this is not possible. Everyone must carry on using the game format they signed up with. This was mentioned at sign-ups and so will stay.

First of all a quick run-down. As you can see their are still 4 brackets each now with 2 games to be played. Unlike the first round, the brackets wont be split into 2 and each bracket will be given just 1 guideline. Round 1 saw guidelines of Coaster requirements. Therefore, Round 2 consists of themes.

Each Bracket will be given the title of a song. Each player must then interpret this title into an theme to base their entry on. For example the song title, "Time Machine", could be interpreted into time travel, or any particular year etc, the possibilities are practically endless. You don't need to know the song, or the lyrics or anything as you are not theming to the song, just using the song title as a starting point.
So it's up to you to prove that you can develop an idea from a given phrase, and theme a rollercoaster of your choice to this idea.

Please check below what guideline your match-up will face. Voting will be based on the overall package, not just the theming.

Dont forget that this is your own interpretation of the given song title/phrase. You can choose any rollercoaster to theme, however your entry MUST include a rollercoaster of some sort. This isnt about having the best theme or best layout, its about the best entry. The theme is only a requirement, its not the sole thing that is being judged when it comes to voting.

Comet vs Nokia was the hardest decision imo, but I think Comet will win.

Probably. I will twist the fuck out of the guideline but I don't see me doing well this round. Louis! is purposely trying to test me, I know it.

while i understand the testing quality of the themes, they are all kinda hard to jam into two weeks. I'm not complaining, just saying, building new york, something under the ocean, or deciphering living at the end of time, in two weeks, is a difficult ask

open to interpretation is the key here i guess......
