RCT Discussion / Unofficial Quest for the Best

What kind of map sizes are we talking and what kind of deadlines? 

There are no set map sizes, it's up to the builder's discretion. Keep in mind though, this is not like H2H or PT where you're making a full park, but more working towards a certain objective, such as "Best Themed [insert coaster type here]".

So it could be that we have 2 weeks to build 

'Best themed log flume'

'Best GCI coaster'

'Best B&M coaster'

And then we have around 2 or 3 weeks for that? Or are the deadlines more tight then that?

Hmmmm I don't think the old QFTB were specific companies. I'm pretty sure they were just best inverted coaster, best woodie, ect.

At this time we're pretty much set on a 2 week building time, and 1 week for a community vote. Winners would be announced afterward and the next round would begin.

This is subject to change depending on the community's response, but as of now it will most likely be 2 weeks.

Also, depending on the number of people signing up for a specific category (LL, NCSO, etc.), we may have to expand the bracket a bit so don't worry if say, LL gets filled to 4 people.

Very excited for this.

Side note...I wouldn't be adverse to a longer (maybe 3 week) deadline as I'm a notoriously slow builder with the arthritis and gout and all, but I'll go with whatever.
