Maybe because I start summer school tomorrow I decided to work on this almost all day. Got a lot done so here is an update of the entry area.

First some pics of the real thing...

This is just a little seating area that's behind the photo pick-up shop, but there was just something I really liked about it so I put a lot of detail into it:

I love how the access steps for Kumba's MCBR go into a maintenance building! The building also has lockers since the Congo river rapids are near by:

Here is how I did it in RCT:

As you can see it's a little unfinished, but I am going pretty good and hope I can finish it sometime late this month.

    Enjoy :kumbasgreen:

This really is some of my favorite stuff from you; you should dive into realism more often!

Are those diagonal steps? That is a nice touch, dude, I really like where this is headed.
  • Liampie%s's Photo
I love the diagonal steps too!

This is looking so solid! Keep it up Kumba.

That's a really nice screen. I like the diagonal steps and the buildings look very realistic, too.

I agree with nin. The atmosphere and the red roof building are awesome.

The rusty rails are an awesome touch. Great screen. One of the best project going on right now, for sure.

Why not use real train track instead of the mine train? I feel it would look a whole lot better. Your foliage down there is also going to want to be a little thicker and with a different ground covering. I have some pictures I can dig up for you.

Not looking too bad otherwise, good luck finishing this.

Where is the mine train track needed for / used for in real life?

    Screen is looking awesome Kumba!

If you see in his screen, he's got it going through the cobra roll. It's part of the railway around Busch. While I can see where he's going with it, I think he'll still be better served using the regular train tracks and continuing making the bushes thicker. Here's one of my pics as an example:

Actually had railroad track there at first (see overview of the layout near the end of pg 1), was just trying this out. Really is kinda a cross between the two. Might go back to railroad, try some hacks, or just do what I do on everything else in this project and make a new object, lol. Also the bush is thicker now, had not hacked the bushes under the trees before I took that screen. Thanks for that feedback Brian.

Also the diagonal steps are something you can almost do with the objects out now, just to have this type you need a sqaure piece thats kinda got a wedge cutout of it. That one is made to match the path I used, but I also have a normal texture one, here's a quick DL for it:

Thanks for all the comments. This a really tricky stuff, so it is nice to see you guys appreciate it :)

pretty good but I'm not sure the turqoise fence tops translate well into rct...

It seems accurate but I'm just not getting the feel from the area that I got at BGA. the foliage needs to be a lot more overgrown.

Just so you guys can see what I am working off here is a folder with 24 of my Kumba pics from my last trip and 10 from CP6. More to Come I expect.

Also I have zero replies on this so far, but I started a topic to try and get some pics of signs in the park made into objects. Any help would be greatly appreciated and you'll get a copy of the design too ;)

Needs a little more work like the access path down there, the rocks should be gray too. I was mainly trying to get the rock garden like foliage off the path look right.

Still this update is from what I did weeks ago. I will be going to BGT this weekend, so I figured id put this on hold till I get a good look at the coaster in person.

Expect some kinda big update next week. Cya guys then :mantis:

Looks like your version could use a fresh coat of paint like the real Kumba is getting. ;) Rails and all!

I'm really enjoying all of the attention to detail, down to the exact placement of trees and everything.
