Ask the Experts / Beast/Codex Problem

I'm playing LL on Windows Vista Home Premium. The Beast and Codex trainers have become increasingly more temperamental recently.

It is pot luck when I open RCT as to whether they will run properly. Most of the time I open the Beast and it crashes immediately or 'fails to respond'. When this happens Codex will not work either (it opens but fails to perform any functions and does not recognize anything I build).

They always work in conjunction or not at all. If I can't open The Beast I know Codex won't run, if Beast works then Codex works.

Does anyone else experience this? Can it be fixed or is it just a compatibly issue with Vista I must live with? It gets extremely tedious having to close and reopen RCT 10 or more times before a trainer works.

vista and LL just don't cooperate. been trying everything i can think of to get the trainers to work on vista and it just don't work. it's a bitch having to use my xp desktop just to mess around in LL.

switch to the vista/win7 "basic theme" and it works.

posix, does yours actually say 'basic'?

It's the same menu options for me RMM...I just changed it to Classic, started up RCT and enjoyed a morning session of building with no trainer issues what so ever. Thanks posix.
