I admit that could probably be added to my list aswell along with pretty much every program on before 6pm on UK TV.
I dont understand how people watch tv or put up with it to be honest.Who the hell commisions these shows aswell?

my favourite two tv shows are heroes and dr who.

I forgot to mention all of those cheesy love shows that air on VH1 (Rock of Love, A Basement Affair, For The Love of Ray J, etc.) they are all the same.

Because its not important.
When i watch the news i want to find out about 'news' not whether a small child sat on a train for the first time or a old women cant buy the same sweets she likes. Theres more though. Local news insist on being friendly rather than being imformative and i really dont care if dave from rotherham took a picture of the sunset or to find out something from the publics view (usually someone whos so old they dont undertand the question)

These people are getting paid for what equates to telling a story to school children when the news isnt aimed at them

i hate all the shows which are made in english countries, and then get on dutch tv with dutch talk. It is just so annoying when its so clear everything had to be translated first and now it is al stupid.

The local news isn't that extreme. I usually complain that the news is full of stories of some punk kid trying to get into a gang and ends up killing some random child, or an insane man going berserk at a college or on the streets. They also keep the same stories for a week and if another big thing happens, they act like the older event never happened.

it's called providing what the consumer wants. it's not an information service, its a business, just like everything else.

Jag thats exactly what its like in the UK (i get calendar or look north.Theyre both equally as shite).Yesterday there was a story that a train museum was letting a kid run the museum for a day.The strap line was something like 'come and see the new small controller' then they showed a child walking around in a suit for fifteen minutes in the museum.
Thats not news its just bullshit. They also insist on getting somone local on to plug something just to fill the time. Richard Hawley is the main one for where i live. No matter what he does they report on it. He could have bought a paper from a local shop and there will be a 15 minute report on it. They also plugged some book written by some guy ive never heard of just becuase his daugther had died 4 years ago.

The picture thing is also true,they start the weather by showing pictures that people have sent in of the weather! I know what the weather was like several hours ago,I was there.I lived through that time. They then continue by getting the actual weather forecast wrong and then make a joke of it the next day.

I never saw that on Dutch television, except for some children's series. And something on SBS6 perhaps, because they are stupid.

Most famous TV shows are that way, and some of the best show are from the United States.

As for Adult Swim, not everything is bad. Robot Chicken is definitely one of my favorites. The Venture Brothers is also pretty good. The Mighty Boosh is kinda hit and miss. The desert island episode was funny, and a couple of others, but that's about it. Shows like The Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Squidbillies, and Superjail, just make the whole channel look bad.

Something I find really funny, though, is that ever since American Idol took off, every other talent show seems to have one snooty British judge. Please tell me I'm not the only one who's noticed this.

I've not noticed that here , I tend to see more than one on each show , as well as australians
