Ask the Experts / RCT2 no disc options

Hi. It's been a while.
Anyway, I am going to be bedridden for a few days and wanted to play RCT2, only to find that my disc no longer works on my laptop. I think it's a little scuffed around the edges. The problem is that if I order a new one in the mail, I won't get it for like a week and by that time I'll be busy at school again. I do plan on doing this, I was just hoping for a more immediate fix so that I can play in the meantime. I know there are no-disc patch options, but I've never really used them before.
I was wondering if anybody could guide me in the right direction as to what is safe to use. For example, I found this thing: http://www.gameburnw...ertycoon2.shtml
but I am not sure how safe that would be to use. I dug up a topic where I read that Levis had sent a no disc patch out? Anyway, I'm not sure if he'll get this any time soon, but I would love any sort of help on the matter.
Any help or words of wisdom would be nice.
Hope everyone is doing well.
