I feel like I need to explain my choice as I was allied with both of the other players separately as of last round. I've been going over this one for awhile.
On one side, inVersed was the much better competitor of the two, and on that merit deserved to advance to the next round. After all, the winner of this can't claim to be the best if they don't play against the best, was my thinking.
On the other side, in:Cities and I have been allied since the merge, and he seriously saved my ass a couple rounds back. Unable to really make a choice between the two, I had to stick with my original plan and reward Josh's loyalty, because he's probably the only reason I made it to the end.
Sorry, inVersed, and congrats, Josh.
Kumba's input on the matter:
DRC2828: don't lie, it's coz inVersed is black! -

Oh, and I'm going to do a write up of everything that happened behind the scenes a little later tonight, because it was pretty extensive on my end, haha. -
In:Cities Offline
ahh thanks man, but inversed is really more deserving.

I just read through a bunch of this. This is pretty intense! That last challange seemed hard.
This reminded me of corkscrewed pt2 entry with the clues and stuff. Just out of curiosity, what did that lead you to in the end? The site was down last time I tried to do it. -

Funny thing is, I'm so adjusted to Kumba's misspellings that I actually read that as 'finale'. -

Since the observers can't really see what's going on, I typed up what went on behind the scenes. So here you go, from my perspective, from the beginning:
It started off simple enough. I posted half jokingly at the very beginning, “Who wants to form an alliance?” in the thread, and wheres_walto PMed within minutes looking to form one. He got voted off first round, and there went that. Oh well. He didn’t even vote with me anyway.
Nothing much happened until the merge. We basically just voted off the new guys… But then I went fucking crazy. I immediately set up an alliance with the 5 remaining members of Hurricanna and an alliance with in:Cities and SSSammy. This put me in an alliance with 7/9 players left in the game.
Chapelz had immunity, so Steve was the only person we could vote off without breaking my alliances. I came up with some bullshit reasons to vote off Steve, but they weren’t buying it and nin, who was allied with him, came up with some pretty good reasons against it. So I gambled on the fact that nobody would want to split the alliance and sent a message saying “Hey, I haven’t heard back from anyone, so I’m just going to vote for Steve.” It worked.
(I actually coordinated in:Cities and SSSammy’s votes for this round to dr dirt to make sure that a tie would end up in our favour due to more total votes)
The next round, Chapelz was the only person I could vote out. I had originally planned to bring Chapelz into the smaller alliance and take out dr dirt by a tie breaker to make sure my 3 person alliance maintained the majority throughout, but I figured this was too complicated and let it go. Chapelz was just coming off of an immunity challenge win, and everyone jumped on it without me even suggesting it, so I just went with it. That left my smaller alliance waaaaaay outnumbered.
Nin solved that problem for me. He and dr dirt decided I was too much of a threat and tried to branch out to the two people outside of the Hurricanna alliance—SSSammy and in:Cities. Oops.
SSSammy and in:Cities both told nin they were in, making him think he had the 4 votes he needed to knock me off. I had only two things to make sure of: 1. nin can’t get immunity, and 2. If I get immunity, SSSammy or in:Cities would have been taken out. I would need to draw votes away from the others, so I could not win this round.
My solution? I completed the challenge and emailed it to SSSammy. Both problems solved.
During the vote, I had to keep up appearances that Hurricanna was still functioning and would be voting off in:Cities to make sure that inVersed and zodiac would vote how we wanted them to. Nin and dirt had to play the same game. We all messaged each other that this would be the best choice, dr dirt going as far as to send me one that said “I just voted for in:Cities.” I had to try pretty hard not to call him out right then, but let it go. I would not have wanted to be in nin’s spot when that vote dropped, haha.
The PM’s blew up at that point. Dirt messaged inVersed confessing the plot to him and mentioning that he felt very vulnerable. inVersed PM’d forwarded the message along to me, looking to ally with me, and I forwarded it to everyone else for laughs. I didn’t respond.
The next round was the only one that I didn’t have a plan. inversed mentioned taking out dirt next in his PM and with the other three votes from Sam, Cities, and I, it was pretty much a done deal. Moving on.
inVersed got immunity in round 11, so zodiac was next out. 4 left.
And then inversed won another one. Fuck. There went our alliance...
Again, the problem was solved for me. inVersed PM’ed me with a plan to ally until the final two, voting out SSSammy. I wasn’t quite sure if I could trust him or not, but it would guarantee getting to the next round, and I didn’t want to break my alliance with the other two just in case. I at least wanted to make in:Cities and SSSammy think I hadn’t voted against them.
I’m really fucking proud of how I got around this one. Here’s what I proposed: The three of us would vote for each other so that inVersed’s vote would be the only one that mattered. SSSammy would vote for in:Cities, in:Cities would vote for me, and I would vote for SSSammy. So now I kept my word to both alliances. Sorry, Sam. That’s two for him, and he’s gone. Rolling into the final round, I was allied with both of the other remaining two. I’m safe no matter who gets immunity.
The rest should have already been explain in this thread. -
