Not to mention, quite a few players are coming out of retirement and are breathing new life into styles that have long since been forgotten. (Yes, I'm talking about you, Roomie. )I think it's growing. The amount of new blood the last three years has been really impressive! I actually think we haven't hit our peak yet by a long shot!

thanks for the kind words. it's the kind of balsam admins need at times.
tpm, all of your recent posts have been a delightful read. the thing about encouraging other community's members is mostly that it doesn't work. the reason being that although they know ne, they don't want to participate here. to my understanding, the reason for this is that some believe their skill isn't up to par, which acts as motivation to stay away. i find this wrong but you can't really do much about it. -

I have been contacting a few guys here and there to see how rct is for them on their site and while it doesn't look promising I agree with Tpm's point. I'd love NE to get as the first choice on google for rct2 fan sites. I wouldn't mind leading this campaign either to get more new talent. Whilst some people may seem sceptical about this point the least we can do is try. -

I found this site doing a chemistry project
But yeah, really great (and surprising) to see so much growth! I guess I can account for one of those newbies. -

Big thanks to Louis! for doing most of the organization of these awards and the rest of the staff members in helping finalize everything.

Also Louis congrats on arranging all the awards in an efficient manner and getting them done so soon.
Thanks guys it was a pleasure.
Oh and just for the record I was the 100th Voter Which is pretty cool. -

I see where you are coming from posix and to be honest thought this was probably the case. It is a shame but I guess there isn't a lot that can be done about convincing new members otherwise. I do believe that making NE more RCT search friendly would be a great help though.
J K if you lead the campaign for new talent then I'll start one to convince retired parkmakers to make a return!
I think if we can convince one or two just to get the ball rolling then a few more may feel nostalgic...this could tie in with the next contest (thinking out loud here); send invitations out to all old parkmakers for their participation in, lets say Hi-Rollers 2 for arguments sake.
If we could include some old names that have already agreed to enter in the invitation it might spark off some nostalgic sense of competitiveness! -

Bring back JKay .
I think rct3 gave a boost to the rct2 community also unwillingly.
cause when it first came out the specs where pretty high and some people couldn't handle that so they bought a previous version which happens to be rct2. also people who dont like rct3 are often tempted to try rct2.
and I think when the custom objects etc. where released for rct3, there where quite some references to rct2, and that should have promoted the rct2 community also.
btw 106 votes with less then 24 hours to go. hopefully we will reach the 110 .
kudos to the admins already (and louis) cause this seems to be one of the more awesome awards ever.
I will probally be in the chatbox 1 hour before the awards starts. so will there be a trivia or something like that? -
