^ One thing to note that is that height in RCT doesn't matter when recreating. It will make everything out of scale, so its just a good idea to ignore that and just scale the ride to itself. -

Here's a link to the recreation I've been making for a while, no where near finished, link -

I Am very Sorry Guys, but Mantas's Kraken recreation is 10 times better than the one i have been working.
Good Job on the Recreation Kraken&Manta -

Thank you Louis, Roomie, and Brian.Nevis was the guys, and if you want to make an accurate recreation including heights, then mr JDP did extremely baddddd.
First, the ride is 165 and yours is not even 150.
Second, the corskcrew is complety wrong in every way there could be.
Third, and where you going to put all the walkway and scenery around and close to the station.
So next time before you tell somebody is wrong, check images and ride layout before wasting you time (bullshiting).
Well it actually only took me around 10 minutes to build that and I never even rode this coaster. And dude, of course you don't use the real life height. Did it never occur to you when you watched Goliath in the SFMM scenario, that it hits 90mph off a 240ft hill? Or, well any drop in rct you should notice the speed is off balanced.
Also, I gave you a nice list on what to improve and even asked if you wanted my layout, yet you tried nailing me to the cross with your last comment. So all is what I have to say is if you rode Kraken over 100 times and this is you final result, you should be ashamed.

Nah man, I have no problem commenting on your work. I was just bothered when you said no one can do a recreation better then the one you had... and at the same time calling me out in a sense. I just really hate it when people try and recreate things and don't focus on the main aspect of the recreation; the roller coaster. And you can't tell me that in all honesty you think your ending is good.

ugh. so much bitter in this thread.
I think that JDP is commendable for always being able to find a new way to make RCT coasters more like the real thing.
He is not commendable for finding new ways to make himself look like an ass.
hulkpower is opening himself up to some very pointed criticism by making a recreation- standards are a bit higher than when Iris dubbed the original Nevis ride "a perfect recreation." It would be a little naive to post a recreation topic in the AD and not expect some very heavy weighing in from a few regulars, so hulkpower should be prepared for a little bit of harshness in the comments.
Those things said, I think that recreations are going to be a thorny business all around. Certainly if everyone who has posted in this topic attempted a Kraken rec. you would end up with a slightly different version from everyone, and all of them being RCT would still fall short of a perfect recreation. Different people at different skill levels and with different ideas about RCT will make different rides- so what you end up with isn't so much recreation as reinterpretation.
Hulkpower's interpretation has a few shortcomings when compared to the real Kraken, but so does JDP's. There are other things to comment on though, and none of the comments need to be as snide as they have been. What about "This looks interesting, i'm looking forward to how you deal with the latter half of the layout. I see some potential issues (here), (here), and (here)" or "Have they remodeled the station? that's a fresh take on the buildings." This is RCT, is there really any "wrong" way to build? And even if you think so, is being an ass about it going to stop someone from doing so? I hate seeing this sort of argument pop up. -

thanks to everybody for dealing with people like myself and the {perfect rct }jdp. me and him would make a great job on any recreation if we join up. ha ha ha........ -

Dude how about you just stop trying to make fun of jdp. Neither will he be offended by any of these childish comments nor is it funny. I don't think jdp's comment was mean at all even though I have to say that I don't like his version too much as it is not spaced out enough. Your layout, hulkpower, is not really perfect either though. Of course Kraken's layout is impossible to be recreated perfectly in rct because of the game's limits in track design but there's a lot about your layout that should be changed. For example the end, especially because of the breaks is by far too spaced out in my opinion. Also the Zero G just looks weird with the not so steep part between the dive loop and it. It still seems like a good start though and it looks like you're willing to put some effort into this. Good luck with the coaster and guys get back on topic please. -

here is a screen, do you think i should leave the big loop or change it to smaller, rct2 problem with recreations.

It doesnt look bad, I think id keep the big loop. I sometimes hate the appearance of a smaller loop in the same layout as a larger one, but whatever floats your boat -

Th brake run seems way too spread out. I've never ridden it, so if it's like that, I apologize. -

I understand why you made that last turn so wide, because it needs to get from the opposite side of the trench-loop to the opposite side of the lift, but it could definitely be fixed. The second loop needs to be closer to the lift - see here. Putting a wider s-bend (banked track) after the second loop would get the track far enough from it for the corkscrew to fit, and then the semi-final brakes would sit right next to the loop and a medium- or large-sized turn should get you over to the final brakes. I haven't tried to do that, but in my head it works. I'm sorry if you tried and it didn't work out - just an idea!
It does look good though, and the scale seems pretty fine to me. Maybe ParkDat in those half-wide platforms or lift stairs from Kumba's Kumba rec? Those stairs look great and are pretty darn accurate for a B&M.
I can't wait to see this - Kraken is one of the better B&Ms out there, in my opinion, and I'm interested in seeing it in-game!
