Man, our new style is sooooooo boring to watch..
Let's hope we will win the cup with this, otherwise it will be our most boring play ever..
I haven't seen the Japan goals, but it amazes me how well they are performing this world cup.. We also had a lot of trouble with Japan and got really lucky Sneijder made that goal against them.. They are just so organized and disciplined..

Just watched the Japan Game and seriously, I'm frightened they might come more far than anyone would have thought... -

I'm one of those tools with a flag on their car, and thinking of getting another for the other side - GO FUCKING GERMANY!!!!
The worst part is, I actually don't like soccer/football. I just want Germany to win because I am partially/mostly German, and that is my favorite part of my ancestry, and it's fun to get in the hype, and, alas, Canada is not in the World Cup. -

Finally had a bet on the World Cup come in yesterday with a single on Switzerland to draw 0-0 and a quadruple on Ivory Coast and Spain to win, Brazil to draw and Switzerland not to concede.
Hope to keep it going with a Uruguay win today and a draw after 90 mins between Ghana and USA (I expect USA to take it in ET).
If anyone is partial to a fun bet lay a pound/dollar on an accumulator for all the 2nd round games, I backed most of the favourites and it still returns £1,200.
I'm rooting for USA today but it will be a shame to knock out the only remaining African nation. -

USA played very good for the full 120 minutes, too bad they couldn't score. On other hand, I hope Ghana will come far in this worldcup since it's the last remaining african country.
Go Ghana, Go!
I'm looking forward to the match of UK vs Germany. -

Gonna watch it with 30,000 fans tomorrow.
Hopefully Germany will win (in penalty-shootout hah) -

I've been on edge ever since I knew we were playing Germany. Even though we don't have the best history in the world cup I think we're gonna win. Bring it on!!!!! I'll be watching it before my girlfriend comes round. Girls and football don't mix! -

US vs Ghana is probably my favourite game so far. The US sucked in the first half, but they made a great comeback in the second. Overall Ghana was slightly better so they deserved the win here. I would've liked to see the US win too, though.
I wonder who will get into the semi-finals... Uruguay or Ghana? -

Uruguay for me but I'd love to see ghana go through. The US have been good all tournament. They held their own with england and that late minute goal against algeria certainly proved they were worthy to go through.
Ghana for me however have just been electric I'm glad they went through. -

The U.S match was an incredible disappointment. It would've been a great stepping stone for the soccer in the U.S, I don't think we would've gone any further after this match, but it would've been enough for me. We played like crap in the first half and Ghana beat us at almost everything, but in the second half we picked up our game and gave Ghana a good match.
The second half was a lot of fun to watch, but Ghana was just a disgrace to soccer in overtime... Diving has never been that ridiculous, refs really need to start handing out cards for that. -

Japan was one of the teams I was rooting a bit extra for ahead of the tournament, and after seeing their game against Denmark I just completely love them. Paraguay will be a real task for them though, I have a feeling their tactics and playing style will be very hard for Japan to face. Though, they'll definately be playing with lots of confidence after t heir last performance and all the praise they have recieved from the press.
Congrats to Ghana and Uruguay for going through. I'm a little bummed that South Korea (yes I have a thing for Asian teams ) lost but I kinda like Uruguay too so it wasn't that bad. The same thing for USA, if it weren't Ghana they lost to I'd feel a little dissapointed right now. -

Ugh, yes, the diving and time wasting at the end of the US-Ghana match was very disappointing. I know it goes on all the time, and I've somewhat accepted as a fact of the game, but for those unfamiliar with the sport it is a HUGE turnoff and it damages the game's reputation in this country. Yes, players waste time and fake injuries in American football, but it isn't as obvious or destructive to the flow of the game as it is in soccer.
On a positive note, I heard some 10k people showed up at KC's Power & Light District to watch the game--I wish we had that kind of support here. -

I literally told my customers to hold on while I watch the match today at work (Best Buy). When Ghana won, I was like "Fuuuuuuuuu...nnnn stuff...". I really would have liked to have seen them go at least one more round. Uruguay would have been a easier loss to swallow.
If only Dempsey had heels on. He would have been able to tap that ball in. Grrrrrrrr. -

Haha! Go Ghana! So pleased they won, I've been backing them since the begining (not to go all the way, but to do well).
Also the spain game the other day was a really good watch.
England to win tonight, I think we now have more confidence and will pull it out of the bag tonight. Wont be suprised if it goes to extra time though, just hope no penalties.
And what with Formula 1 being shown at the same time, could be a great day for British Sport -

Just a warning, if any Germans talk to me tonight, I will bite your head off.
2 - 0 down already. What the fuck England!

yep, seems like we can tie in with the performance against Australia. which is pretty impressive with an opponent like England.
