General Chat / Dragon Age - Origins

hey guys,

has anyone already played this new diamond by Bioware?
I bought it and played it straight for 5 hours today and WOW, this is awesome!
after the Gothic3-disaster and the disappointment I got through The Witcher, this is the first RPG I'm actually going to finish since Fable.

What console is it for and what is the story? I love RPG's.

Is it as good as Final Fantasy?

This game looks impressive, but as far as RPG's on my Xbox, I'm sticking with Fallout 3.

Seen the trailer on TV and it's looking ridiculously good, however I don't own a next-gen console neither a computer good enough to play it... I'm considering buying a new laptop soon and if I do I'll definitely try this out.

what I've seen from it, it should be VERY good.
nice thing to play cause I'm kinda bored with Oblivion at the moment and now Playing Pirates of the Caribbean New Horizons (a modded version of the first post game by akella).

Love the trailer with the exploding eyeballs, haha. I imagine I'll pick this up for Christmas or something.

It is better. By far.
Btw, this is how it looks like on my Athlon XP 4400+, 2GB, Radeon X1900XT machine in 1680x1050.

uhh, it's made by fuckin bioware, of course it's gonna be better than oblivion.

But Oblivion was great... haven't played a Bioware RPG yet, so that doesn't really mean much to me... It does look good, though.

I was reading up on some walkthroughs for the fun of it, and man is it complex. Definitely a much more indepth storyline than yud think. Also nothing beats beating the hell out of a giant ogre that yu run up and stab....awesomeness...

Consequently, assassins creed 2 came out tues, so I haven't touched it in like two weeks.

So which is better--PC or Xbox360 version? Don't even know that my laptop could handle it, because Oblivion is an absolute mess on it.

If your graphics card can run it, choose the PC version. Because the graphics on the X360 are really not that pretty.

Looks like I may need to get it for the 360, as I'm only running with a 2.5 GHz processor and an Nvidia 8400M GT GPU. I suppose this is what I get for not having a real PC though!

got it now ... and played it 6 hours straight.
its a really awesome game

Yeah I did get this for Christmas, and it's admittedly very hard to put down.
