You bought an over-expensive monitor and a half eaten apple?
  • Splitvision%s's Photo
^^ that is a very good purchase. The only downside with a mac is you can't play rct on it

^ I play RCT on my Mac, I have Windows duel installed though.
There are several programs that will let you run Windows as an application for Mac, but I don't know if any of them can play RCT, haven't tried it yet.

Run a vm with xp installed on it or use boot camp and run xp as an os. Either way should work

Not that I will be using the 3D a huge amount in the beginning, I will be catching the World Cup this year in 3D from DirecTV. Can't wait for Discovery 3D to pop in!

Anyway, the model for this guy is the TC-P58VT25 - Panasonic's new line of Plasma displays; this one is 58" (148cm). Does full 3D HD, internet connect-able (Skype, Netflix, Facebook, etc), and has the BEST picture of any TV on the market (without spending $10k+).

And since it comes with a pair of glasses already, I only need three more pairs:

And I already own a PS3, so within this next year I will be playing both games and Blu-Rays on this setup. Can't wait!

Oh, and for those doubting the usefulness of 3D, it does 2D better than your TV. I'll bet on that.

RRP what resolution does that thing have? must be massive, my brother has an 17" macbook pro and he has a resolution over 1900, wondering what a movie looks like on that screen, must be epic....
  • Cena%s's Photo
^That's the standerd HD screen resolution, 1920x1080 or 1080p that is called.

@ Rhynos, how expensive was that 3D television? I plan on buying one too when they are in my range of what I can spend, I don't want to spend 3000 euros on it or something.

That are some impressive screenshots. What specs does the Mac itself have?

I'm not sure of the cost outside of America, (prolly the same, but dunno) but I spent $2300 on it (TV +3 Glasses). I work at Best Buy, so I get employee discount and Panasonic accommodations, too.

And from my perspective, if one is going to 3D in their home, go Panasonic. There's a reason why it was Best of Show at CES this year. Also, plasma doesn't have the problems that the LED TV's will have (max resolution in 3D, angle problems, etc) and will ultimately have the best uncalibrated image in the industry (except for companies like Vidikron or any TV $10k+). My 2 cents.
