maybe what you're going for isn't percievable.I hate when people make idiotic comments because they either didn't read the topic/post, or just don't get what I am trying to get at.

I agree and disagree here ...k0ng, reduce hacking. it usually just bites your ass and makes what you built look unnatural and geeky, for it shows just how much pain you took upon yourself just to achieve a certain thing that viewers could admire you for.
Hacking as much as needed to get to your target is for me good and I do that all the time. To make something realistic, I sometimes put many hours into hacking it. And then the result is pretty cool (atleast for my standerds).
But if people only hack for the sake of hacking / making it more 'interesting' I disagree ...
But above all, before you are going to hack you should know what you need to do, otherwise you end up with crashes / errors.
*nothing against you Posix, just pointing out my opinion * -

One of my roommates started playing RCT for fun the other day and it's been cool talking to him about the game. He's interested in trying out custom scenery and stuff, so hopefully I can get him going on some cooler projects soon. I finally have somebody around here that understands my deal with RCT a little bit better.
In other news, I haven't gotten to play much, but I'm having a great time when I do. -

^ Haha, my roommate last year was into RCT2 as well. Didn't know until I saw the game disc on his desk. I taught him some of our hacks in 8cars too. -

I only have one friend that somewhat gets into the game, and that's actually Whitehawk, who pops in every few months or so. Obviously he's not as serious as us here, and despises custom scenery, but it's cool to talk about RCT a bit with him. -

First of all, I don't hack that much. Probably less than most and I only hack when it's necessary to achieve my goal.....never for the sake of having a cool hack so people could say "oohhh, that's a cool hack". My preference would be that any hacking I've done would be unnoticeable and simply add to the realism of what I'm building.k0ng, reduce hacking. it usually just bites your ass and makes what you built look unnatural and geeky, for it shows just how much pain you took upon yourself just to achieve a certain thing that viewers could admire you for.
Secondly, while attaining some sort of recognition for producing quality work (in any genre, not just RCT) is nice and I would imagine is something that every human strives for, it's certainly not my priority. If it were, you'd see a hell of a lot more shit posted here by me. The "pain" I take upon myself to achieve my visions has nothing whatsoever to do with notoriety. If you ever saw some of the stuff I have in my saved games folder that will never see the light of day, you'd realize this. I truly do build for myself. It's THE main reason that I don't show much of my work....along with the fact that I take criticism too seriously and have a tendency to start doubting anything that anyone points out in my screens. Which in turn changes what I'm creating from MY vision to the vision others have for what they see in my screens. If at the end of the day others enjoy what I've created, it most certainly makes me happy. But, it's far from being the motivating factor in my enjoyment of the game.
Now, contests and competitions are another story entirely......I'm one of THE most competitive fucks you'll ever meet. In that case, it's ALL about winning, bragging rights and the admiration that comes with being victorious. -

One of my exes just joined a facebook group called "Did you ever look at one of your exes and think, 'Was I drunk for our whole relationshsip?'"

Not bragging rights as such but more personal fulfilment with me. Next contest though, your on. Darren can agree that I'm far too competitive for my own good but it's healthy! -

My girlfriend even plays RCT and she understands where I am talking about! Now that's fucking brilliant!

Dude, if I ever took Viagra...I'd be far too busy to even think about RCT...let alone a fansite dedicated to it. -

Applying the splitting train hack for a useful, realistic purpose is fun. Actually just having RCT time in general is pretty sweet since that'll go away for a few weeks soon.. -
