Although I love NE and RCT2, the community lately has forced me to pigeonhole myself to AIM and MSN, and I have builder's block that just won't go away. RCT just isn't as fun as it used to be for me... Just a confession.

It's not that I feel that NE is going "downhill," but I think that there's a vocal part of the community that seems to take over every discussion/thread. Come on guys, we joined for the love of the game, not to bitch out other members. When "Dutch Bitch fights" becomes an often-used phrase, that's never good. Just remember that this is a forum for RCT, so, please, just leave it at that.

I'm going to reinstall rct2 in the week straight into C not into programme files. Read it somewhere on here... I can atleast try

On another note: Right at this moment I actually love th13teen! To be honest right now its my fav ride at Alton. That will probably change though when I ride it in another seat other than the back or second to back

played rct2 again last night. played it today too. madea ton of progress. the idea that a hiatus can help isn't a myth.

That's just very low of you robbie. I feel you're pointing at me when saying Dutch bitchfest. I know cena and I had our differences, but they are dealt with and it's members like you who keep on bringing this back..
I'm not going to pinpoint any members who I feel are bringing this site down lately, but if everyone just keeps on talking about Dutch bitchfests and whatnot, it wouldn't bring this site back on the level it was.

I have an idea though, why don't you finish that awesome solo of yours robbie, and prove you're worth of that Parkmaker status everyone thinks you should deserve?

Oh, and for that builder's block, take sssammy's advise, it works.

no one seems to want to take responsibility on this site, really. we are ALL to blame, so stop pointing the finger and do something about it instead of moan like an old woman.

SF, I was not pointing at you, as I feel you have a level head, one of the most level heads in the community (besides dealing w/ cjk roofs). I will not name any names, but it's more the term in general. It was merely an example of the amount of bitch fights that do occur, not generated in any way towards you.

Oh ok, point taken.

The bit about finishing that solo still stands though
Take it as a bit of motivation.. You know, just to shorten your break (if you take one)..

Haha. Yeah, I've been trying to take a break with Six Flags for a few weeks now by doing LL work, but every time I go back to it, I get stuck.

I'm doing what I can to help the community, and that's all I can do. I'm planning to advertise more often. NE needs more RCT!

@robbie, yeah, getting stuck is a very common phenomenon I encountered when building epws. Maybe that's why it took me some 3 years to get it finished But really, I'm fairly glad I did take breaks and it only made the park better and more importantly I had more fun building on it! I usually just played some other games in my rct-hiatus, I wouldn't even touch ll, as it basically comes down to the same although progress can be made faster in ll.. But I guess you just have to find out for yourself what works.. Looking at other peoples work or real-life themepark pictures even sparks some motivation for me sometimes..

@liampie, yeah, ne definitely needs more advertisements.. I can't advertise anything at the moment, but I can tell I have some big plans post-epws, that could even involve a large part of ne! (I think I told you about it though a while back)

Whats been happening around here?

The apocalypse is coming. Well, I have pretty much stopped playing, it has been months and I know it doesn't matter. I just think this place has become bland lately, and many people at places such as the Atari forums are too afraid to come over here because they think they aren'nt good enough or will get flamed.

I started with planning my reallife themepark, Robbie92 will be the head designer of it, this is all funded with the money I am gaining with my brilliant idea, which I just submitted to a Dutch TV show: The Best Idea of the Netherlands, ofcourse I am going to win it and you will see my product taking over the world. Oh, first prize is 25.000 euros, however the winner gets 30% of all the profits the idea makes.

I hate the Advertising District. You see a great screen in the dump, and hope someone will make a design out of it, and you then discover that they start a thread to work on a park, it may or may not last that long, but suddenly the park gets cancelled because of boredom or a computer problem that causes the park to get deleted. I then must realize that all that great work was for nothing and is now nothing because they never finished it and you have been waiting and have great hopes for the park.

I actually started building again.

I am so damn pessimistic and depressing...
Not a bit, I'm greatly confident that I'll finish my design!

Well, it probably won't work out like every single one of my other projects, but I'm planning a new project in LL. I don't know if it will actually come through, but I'm hoping it will.
