louis, what would make it not lame?

I'd go the other direction with this and ask what specifically makes it 'lame'.

Dude, relax, I was just having a bit of fun. 

I know, but I was sitting there for a full minute trying to remember when I posted that and wondering why I would quote myself.

As for NE being lame, I don't think it is. I think NE's reached a high point, actually. We've got two competent Admins who know how to run the site effectively; we've got a team of Accolade Panelists that ensure every park gets a fair, democratic judgment; we've got a great Release Prep team that make NE's front page worth looking at; and we've got some top notch players who contribute to the site and make it what it is. Sure, the legendary Parkmakers are retired and never come around much anymore, but is Picasso still alive? No.

NE has become pretty lame recently.

I agree, and don't worry gee it has nothing to do with the management, I think that it is at an all time high
The RCT is also at a high quality now, although I wouldn't say an all time high

People just don't like being interesting anymore, they just try to be funny and it leads to no discussion just arguing

I spend a fucking 300 euros on a mediaplayer this thursday, and now I already have the intentions of smashing it with a hammer.

CONFESSION: NEW ACER AX3810 WITH XP/WIN7 PARTITION. none of that needed to be in caps, but you know. ive successfully installed LL again, and it is working perfectly! on xp. cant be arsed on windows 7.
windows seven is damn pretty. wow. im downloading all my steam stuff on win7. maybe it will run at least a little well on this computer. haha.

I hope you installed XP first and then 7? Otherwise you are screwed up with the dual boot loader. 

considering ive played on LL before and am now on win seven downloading counter stike, i think i did it right, yeah.

No, but at the same time NE used to be a place of high standards. I lurked for years before joining because of the fact that it was shit scary being a n00b. Now all the new members have massive attitude problems and everyone tries to be funny which ultimately brings down the standard of conversation.
NE used to be professional in a way, the professionals of RCT. Now it's more like a joke site.

No one even said that they wanted it to be taken serious, but I'll go ahead and say pretty much everybody here does take it seriously, including you I'd say

If you submitted what you considered to be a gold standard park and it ended up not getting any accolade at all I'm sure you would be pissed. The reason for this is because it was your work of art and other people ended up not liking it at all. You getting pissed over this 'game', would therefore mean you are taking it seriously

But what we 'play' here is not a game, it's more of a hobby like Liampie said
RCT is titled a game because there is objectives to be beat, once we take those away it might as well just be a utility for art such as Google Sketchup

i don't take it seriously anymore but then again i'm not a very productive member of the community

but i agree, the community has gotten too, well yeah. too showy i guess. it gets old. too much drama/trying to be funny; it doesn't feel interesting, professional, etc.
