Yeah this started out good until people started admitting they were gay
To be fair my admission of being gay was a joke as I have always said I have been, and most of my posts in here are actually related to RCT.
I think the topic is actually quite decent. -

I HATE when I get a good idea in my head for a park, and I can't execute it ingame. What should I do?Edited by Top Gun, 31 January 2010 - 02:59 PM.

draw them. construct basic images of what you see in your mind. dont go all artistic, it doesnt help, trust me just get the basics down, and it will refresh your memory, and help you execute it better.
it may just take time for you to become more talented at the game. believe me its worth the wait. ive only been here a year and im like ten times better. a couple more years and i might get a bronze -

same as I do,I HATE when I get a good idea in my head for a park, and I can't execute it ingame. What should I do?
write it down and wait, and try to find a way to execute it ingame while you try something else first -

Two confessions:
1. I can't ever finish anything because I always think my stuff looks like crap, so I lose inspiration.
2. No one cares, but I lost OGA. But it was over anyway. -

^ Awww! You had some really good coasters in that park! And some good scenery, too! Now all we have is CGAP and fraroc's Frankenstein of a park.
Also, bonus points for In:Cities for making me laugh today. -

Ever since I picked RCT back up in '06 after a couple years of not playing, I've been building and critiquing others work with absolutely no clue as to the true colors the game utilizes.
A few years back, and I can't recall the exact reason (probably to view porn better), I adjusted my monitor to show everything deeper and darker than it actually is and became completely used to it. I purchased a new LCD monitor the other day (finally getting with the program) and couldn't adjust it the same as my previous monitor....it just doesn't DO that. I bitched about it and my wife and kids all told me that the new one looks 'normal' as compared to my other one. Said they'd always wondered why my display was so dark. Anyway, it's seriously almost like playing a completely different game now. Even my avatar....on my old monitor it was Gene's face with a black background. Now, I see that it's all funky and am almost embarrassed to now realize that it's always looked that way to everybody else. It's weird...the wooden boardwalk path that was always a deep, almost stained oak looking color is actually more tan/gold. The dirt land that I always thought was dark and almost muddy looking actually looks like dirt. the mkx 1/4 tile trees are actually green? WTF?? No WONDER my 'dark gloomy' themes didn't get the dark, gloomy responses from others.
Thankfully, I've never really posted a lot of my shit or been one to be too critical of others work, especially color schemes.
This is giving me a whole new perspective on the game. -

Yeah, colors can have a big impact on you play the game. When I moved all my files to my new computer (with an LCD monitor), the colors were so much better. -

Yeah...once I get used to this, I'm sure I'll love the palette. But, for now it just seems so odd and things that just flowed (to me) so naturally now take work to get to look right. Especially water, foliage and wooden objects/themes. Shit, even frarocs park looks a little bit better.
