I've scoured the forums and google, and the link to rctrevalutions (where apparently Parkdat and Datchecker used to be) is dead.
If someone could provide a fresh link and or PM me the programs, that would be tittastic.
Thanks. -

why dont you just read the other SEVERAL threads asking the same damn thing.
and you will see you answer posted in each of them. -

TopGun - Thanks for trying. Rcttown wants me to wait while they validate my registration before downloading (Parkdat is there too), but on their homepage it says they need funds to restore the download service. Thus I'm not sure if this will work.
riven3d - No reason to get upset man. As I said, I did try searching through the forums only to find dead links. Google pointed me right back here.
So, again, if anyone can PM me the programs directly or knows of links that actually work, that would be great. -

I might be wrong, but doesnt Parkdat do the same thing as Datchecker except only more easily?
riven3d... no need to be a prick. He's pretty new and all the threads seem to have broken links.
Anyways I dont have the Datcheck but I attached parkdat...Attached Files

Thank you very much sir. However, I'm having some issues (of course).
I extracted the program and all the DLL files into a new folder on the desktop. But when I try and run the program, and open up an SV6 file to edit, it "experiences an illegal operation" about 25% into opening the file and crashes.
Any idea what's going on? -

Try copying and pasting the dlls into your WINDOWS/system32 folder.
And, ParkDat and Datchecker do completely different things but, work well together.....like me and TravisEdited by K0NG, 18 August 2009 - 02:32 AM.

Thanks for your response KONG.
It's still not working. ParkDat seems to have issues with SV6's that have custom and/or imported DAT's. It will open "stock" SV6's, but not the custom ones.
Anyone know how to fix this? -

All of the files, including the ParkDat application itself and the program's system files, should be in one folder. Thanks for your response KONG.

Yeah, ParkDat should be in your RCT2 folder along with the dlls. But, I remember when I first installed it, JA himself advised me to copy and paste the dlls to the system32 folder because I was having issues getting it to function properly. Thing is, some people already have the dlls in the system32 from another application....if not, they need to be put there. COPY and paste, not CUT.Edited by K0NG, 18 August 2009 - 02:31 PM.

Thanks for your response Levis.
With the DLL's in the ParkDat folder, every time I attempt to open a park with custom/imported DATs it experiences a "Fatal Exception Error" and closes.
I did try moving the DLLs into system 32, but have the same problem. -

can you open the savegame ingame?
are you using Thriple Thrill Pack?
No, I still experience the same problems trying to open an SV6 while playing.
I am using Triple Thrill Pack, but for some reason it didn't come with the "Time Twister" DATs/scenarios. -

well one of your problems is TTT, it is known to save the games slightly different which can effect trainer behavior and other tools.
do you get an error for missing objects when trying to open the game or do you get an error for missing data?
if so it could be your savegame is corrupted. you could send it to levis[at]rct-guide[dot]nl . then I can look into the savegame if there is something to fix about it, or maybe its only half saved. in that case you need to take a previous savegame -

you could send it to levis[at]rct-guide[dot]nl .
Thanks so much for being willing to take a look at the files. I sent you two copies to the above address.
Good luck. -

I've got no problem with opening the park in parkdat.
you know for sure you have a good version.
try the one in this post. it could be it gives an error on startup. than remove the parkdat_settings file from the folder.
if this doesn't help you probally have installed a anti spyware or antivirus software which blocks parkdat. so you need to look for in your own comp then.
you could make sure UAC and Windows Defender are disabled.Attached Files

Thanks again for your help, but unfortunately it's still not opening the file, or any SV6 that has custom/imported DATs.
I'm pretty sure I don't have Windows Defender and/or anti-virus/spyware.
I went through my computer searching for those and didn't find any, and deleted anything I thought could be them.
As I've said before, ParkDat will open "stock" SV6s. Here's the error when I try and open "custom" SV6s:
---PARKDAT13 caused an invalid page fault in
module RCT2LIB.DLL at 0167:1000ea13.----
(I renamed Parkdat)
I'm running Windows 98. Is this a problem?
I don't know what UAC is, as you mentioned. Is that the problem?
I've tried moving Parkdat (and its' contents) into my RCT2 folder, but that doesn't work. I've tried opening the SV6 in ParkDat while RCT2 is running, but that doesn't work. I've tried copying the DLL files into the SYSTEM32 folder, but that doesn't work.
It seems to me I need to "update" the RCT2LIB.DLL so that ParkDat "recognizes" what the imported DATs are. I don't know.
I've I'm screwed, so be it. I guess the park I'm working on will be crappier than usual. Oh well. -

try the version I send. seems you are running version 1.3 . I uploaded 1.6
1.3 is known to have a problem.
windows 98 doesn't have UAC so you dont have to bother that. parkdat should work in win98 tough -

I am using Parkdat 1.6 It still doesn't work. Is there any other programs on my computer that would prevent it from working? Any other steps I need to take?
